Protection

"How the hell can you stand here in front of me, and say with a straight face that you've never caused any harm to anyone?" Nova hisses, standing protectively in front of the younger one, who is cowering behind her.

"I haven't caused harm to anyone who doesn't deserve it!" Keres snaps back, narrowing her eyes.

"So Finn deserves it? Rose and Cinder deserved it? What the hell can you say to justify that? Finn is just 8! He shouldn't have had to go through any of this!" Nova looks livid, apart from her normal sarcastic self which effortlessly unnerves the rest of the group.

"Cinder and Hawk, you take Finn to a safe place. Me and Rose can handle this." Nova directs. Hawk looks more than happy to comply, and he quickly scoops Finn into his arms, grabbing Cinder's hand as they hurry away. Keres tries to follow them but Nova grabs her wrist, forcing her to stay and finish the chaos she started.

"I don't think words can express the hate I have for everything you've done. You don't even feel remorse do you? If you even are capable of that emotion. The amount of people you have hurt getting revenge is not okay. Was it worth it at least? I hope the guilt eats you up inside you pathetic excuse for a "villain". I think the title coward fits you more. You took the easy way out. Sins like that cannot be forgiven."

Nova just watches with wide-eyes as Rose says these words. Every single word is true and she's not about to stop Rose from what she's doing. She restrains Keres to the best of her abilities, keeping her arms pinned to her sides.

"Now unlike you, me and Nova actually have a little thing called empathy. Luckily for you, you won't be dying today. But if you ever lay a hand on ###### again, you will die regretting it. We will not have mercy the second time. Am I making my motives clear?"

Keres nods frantically, trying her best to hide her fear but its apparent in the way her hands shake.

"Good. Hopefully we won't be back, but if we need to be, we will not hesitate to destroy your mind from the inside out. It would be wise to stay far, far away from ######."
