Chapter 26
Jack
Days earlier...
"Aw Jack I can't believe you're proposing to Elsa!" Merida said and nudged me. I grinned and rolled my eyes.
"Where is she anyway?" Hiccup asked and yawned.
"Well she doesn't want us to be out in public until the movie premiere, which is 6 days from now. So to get some stress off her shoulders I bought her a session at the spa. It will last from 12:30 to 3:50, and its 12:15 right now." I said.
"Alright. So what's the plan?"
"Well you know that fancy restaurant that has all those cakes? It's called Arctica, something like that. Elsa LOVES any type of cake, so she'll definitely want to go there." I said and they both nodded.
"And I was thinking that after the movie premiere we can go and "eat" there. When we get there after the premiere we'll go sit down, but you two go up to the roof that they have, and make sure Elsa doesn't see you do it. Then I'll leave, and knowing Elsa, she'll wait for us to come back and while she does that, she'll be looking at the cakes on the menu. And when she reads, she literally shoves her head into the book or magazine, whatever she's reading. Then everyone in the restaurant could like, go upstairs to the roof. Elsa would of course look where everyone went, so she'll come up to the roof. She'll look around, see a crowd of people. She'll be confused, they'll make an aisle and at the end of it it's the three of us. You know, kinda like the set up of a wedding. I'll say my whole speech, and hope she says yes."
Merida awwed and Hiccup nodded in approval.
"You've become a great man, Jack. Good luck. And what else do you need?" He said and patted my back.
"Well, Hic I'm going to have to make you get us a reservation for after the movie premiere. Then we'll need everyone at the restaurant that day to work with us, so we'll probably pay them. Or hire actors to fill up the restaurant while we're there." I said.
"I can hire some actors, Hic you're going to have to convince the restaurant owners to let us rent the whole restaurant the rest of the day after the premiere." Merida said.
"Of course I do." Hic said and I chuckled.
"And once we do that, Merida I'm going to need a girl's opinion on wedding rings." I said.
Merida squealed.
"I've always wanted to do this for a friend! Okay. So Hiccup, go over to the restaurant, get the whole restaurant reserved for us and the actors I'm going to somehow hire. While you do that Jack and I will go ring shopping and finish in time to help you. Are we good?" Merida said.
We nodded.
"Alright, let's do this!"
Hiccup went into his car, while Merida and I went in mine.
We were going to do our best to try and not be spotted. I texted Hiccup the directions to the restaurant and off he went.
Merida and I started making our way to the wedding ring store. Whatever it's called.
It was a 20 minute drive, and Merida couldn't stop talking about how excited she was for the wedding. I chuckled and we approached the parking lot.
I parked the car and we both got out. We walked in quickly and Merida's eyes widened at the sight of the rings.
"Oh my gosh Jack look at that one!" Merida said and dragged me over to a ring display.
Oh boy.
Hiccup
I drove to the restaurant and parked. I walked in quickly, making sure no on saw me.
I walked in and walked up to the person behind the counter.
"Excuse me. Can I talk to whoever owns this restaurant?" I asked.
"I'll need to know who you are first." The girl replied and crossed her arms.
"Hiccup Hainesworth." I replied and showed her my ID.
Her eyes widened as I took off my sunglasses.
"Uh o-okay." She mumbled and whispered to someone.
That person walked away and returned with a man.
"Hello Mr. Hainesworth. The actor. I'm Don Mark, owner of this restaurant. How may we help you?"
"Well Don, here's the deal. I'm having a movie premiere 6 days from now. After that, my buddy is planning on proposing to his girl in this restaurant on the roof. He needs a reservation, but we're going to hire some actors to play as people in the restaurant. So all in all, we need the entire restaurant reserved from after the movie premiere, to the end of the day. Can you do that for me?" I said and his eyes widened.
"The entire restaurant full of actors for the rest of the day after your movie premiere? Many people have plans for a meal here that day." He said and scratched his head.
I reached in my pocket and took out my phone and wallet.
"Oh. So you can't? I guess I'm going to have to call my buddy JACKSON ROBERTS that he can't propose to ELSA SUMMERS who's fathers is the owner of a company that makes MILLIONS of dollars and can simply take over this little restaurant..."
"Alright alright alright! You can have your reservation. I have no idea how to explain to the people that their reservations can't be continued." He said.
I reached into my wallet and pulled out a whole wad of money.
"Alright you got your reservation."

Jack
Current day...
"Will you marry me?"
I opened the black velvet box, revealing the ring that Merida and I spent 2 hours looking for.
Everyone was waiting, and the longer she took the more I got nervous.
"Elsa?" Merida asked lightly.
Elsa grinned at her then turned to me.
"Of course, you idiot!" She said and wrapped her arms around me. I laughed as everyone started cheering. I stood up and wrapped my arms around her waist.
She pulled away and I took out the ring. I slipped the ring into her finger as everyone clapped.
She looked me in the eye.
"I love you so fucking much." She said and kissed me.
Everyone laughed and cheered again.
I started kissing back, but she pulled away.
"Can we go back downstairs now? I want to eat some cake."
