Chapter 27
Elsa
3 Days later...
I grinned as Jack crawled on top of my legs and lied down on them, wrapping his arms around my waist. I giggled and placed the book I was reading on top of his head.
"I still can't believe we're engaged." I mumbled, turning the book page and Jack yawned.
"Just think, in a few months we'll be Jackson and Elsa Roberts." He said, as I closed the book and chuckled.
"Why do the girls always have to take the last name? I think Elsa and Jackson Summers sounds way better." I said and Jack laughed.
My iPhone rang on the coffee table and Jack picked it up for me.
"It's your mom." He said and handed it to me.
I answered the phone and Jack started playing with my hair.
"Hey mom! What's up?" I asked.
"I hear that you and Jack are engaged!"
"Wow, who told you? Please don't tell me you saw it in a magazine or something."
"Actually Jack told me this morning."
I looked at Jack and chuckled as he was grinning.
"Well, yeah we're engaged! How does dad feel about it?" I asked and looked down at Jack.
"Oh yes, he's happy for you! He said he wants to congratulate the both of you in person."
"Well, that's a relief. Yeah I guess we can come over later? But we're going to visit Jack's family later today too."
"Oh that's okay. You can go to Jack's first, come over here when it's okay for you guys."
"Alright, thanks mom! Bye!"
I hung up and yawned.
"Yeah my dad wants us to come over. But we're heading over to your parents first." I said and he whined.
"I don't want to leave! I want to stay here and cuddle with my fiancé." He mumbled and I rolled my eyes.
"Trust me, I do too but your parents want to see us! And we haven't seen Jamie and Emma in awhile. Same with Anna." I said and lightly slapped his cheeks.
He pouted and I raised my eyebrows.
"Ah, get off of me you idiot! Let's get dressed so we can get there on time." I said and he laughed as I dragged him off the couch and turned off the TV.
We went upstairs and got dressed. Jack put on a dark blue and white baseball tee with black jeans and a black leather jacket.
I had on leggings and a big white sweater. I put my hair in a bun, and I had on Jack's ray bans. White high heels, and a black necklace. I put on my purse and handed Jack his wallet and phone.
"I like your sunglasses." He said grinning.
"Yeah, they look way better on me than the person who owns them." I joked and ruffled his hair.
He scoffed and crossed his arms.
"As if." He put his wallet and phone in his pocket and gripped my hand.
"Let's go, milady." He said and we started walking downstairs together.
"You're an idiot, you know." I said as he poked my hair.
"Oh yes I know, you've told me a million times. But I'm your idiot."
I grinned and we walked into the garage, got into his car, and started driving to his parents house.
30 minutes later...
We arrived, and parked in front of the house. We got out his car and Jack rang the doorbell.
Emma opened the door, and smiled when she saw us.
"Elsa! Jack!" She said happily and hugged
"Hey kiddo!" Jack replied and chuckled as he put her down.
She hugged me next and pulled away after.
"Mom told me you guys are getting married! Congratulations!" She said and let us in. Jack closed the door behind us and I spotted Jamie in the living room.
"Hi Jamie!" I said and she turned around. She smiled and ran up to us.
"Hi Elsa!" She said and hugged me. She pulled away and hugged Jack. I heard footsteps from the staircase.
Jack's parents came down and smiled at us.
"Congratulations you two! Jack I'm so proud of you!" Jack's mom, Gemma, said and hugged the both of us.
Jack's dad joined us in the hug, and so did Emma and Jamie, making me laugh.
We all pulled away, and we started talking in the living room.
Soon we started making our way back to my parents.
When we got there, Jack knocked and rubbed his neck.
"Nervous?" I asked grinning.
He rolled his eyes.
"I really need to stop doing that when I'm nervous." He mumbled.
"No, don't! It's cute." I replied and he grinned. The door opened, and it was Anna.
"Anna!" I said and hugged her.
"Elsa! I haven't seen you in forever!" She replied and pulled away. She hugged Jack and Jack laughed.
"You better take care of her!" Anna said as she pulled away.
"Don't worry, I will." Jack said and Anna nodded in approval.
"Where's Kristoff?" I asked and she let us in.
"He's training for the Winter Olympics. I told you he's one of the ice skater's right?" Anna replied and we sat on the couch.
"Oh yeah you told me. You didn't tell Jack though." I replied and Jack chuckled.
Footsteps came from the kitchen and mom and dad walked up to us.
"Hey mom, dad!" I said and hugged both of them as they walked in front of us.
I pulled away and mom gave Jack a hug. Jack looked nervous at my dad, and extended out his hand.
"Come here, son." Dad said and hugged him. Jack sighed of relief and hugged him back.
The 5 of us sat down, and started talking again. Finally, everything was going to be okay.
We continued talking for more than an hour, and before I knew it, we were on our way back to our home.
"It's great that you two are getting along now, for real." I said as we drove home.
Jack grinned. "I know, I'm still pretty nervous around him." He replied and held my hand.
"It's okay. You're going to get used to him sooner or later." I said and he kissed my hand.
"Hey. Guess what?" He asked.
"What?" I replied.
"I love you."
"I love you too, idiot. Now hurry home, I'm hungry."
He laughed and continued to drive home.
