WILL POV-

"Do you want to go on a date with me?" The ravenette questioned, his voice full of worry; the words heavy in the air.

Students passed by but they felt as though they were alone in the universe. Will took a step back; after all the things he heard in this comic, this was by far the most unexpected, even more than when he almost got stabbed.

"Umm... why?" the brunette tilted his head suspicious as Mike had gone through the entire selection of human emotions during the day; happy in the morning, then confused, dazed, angry and now flirty. He wanted to say yes but remained hesitant, unable to say anything encase this was a joke; a horrible joke like the boys in his high school who would ask him out 'for a laugh'.

The ravenette wasn't expecting that reaction as he opened his mouth "Don't worry! It's not like a romantic date or anything... it's a platonic date! Totally platonic!" stumbling to complete his sentence through a bashful smile. Only lying about the nature of the date so the small boy was not driven away by his straightforwardness, or uncomfortable by going on a proper date with him. Besides framing the date as platonic lessens the tension.

"Platonic?" The Brunette furrowed his brows. That made no sense: who goes on platonic dates? If he just wanted to hang out, he could have just asked; it wasn't as though he was a scary monster with a flower head as a mouth- he was just a normal-ish boy.

"Yeah!" The ravenette nodded "platonic! The real one you had with Billy was honestly horrible, so I wanted to show you how a real date goes... so I can treat you how you deserve!" rambling as the words flew out his mouth attempting to make a reasonable explanation for his actions, backing away from his confidence watching Will's confused face.

"Oh, umm okay! That would be great" the brunette lifted both hands giving a thumbs up. He didn't know what to say as this was the guy he had a crush on; the boy who had his heart during his first reading of the comic book. Wills heart beat fast just hearing the words roll off Mike's tongue, giving him butterflies.

The ravenette chuckled, a clumsy grin on his face "What would you like to do... on- on our date?"

"Umm... how about roller skating?" Will smiled, remembering what Dustin had told him on the trip; deciding on something they could both enjoy on their 'date', as dates are all about having fun and letting loose.

"Okay..." The ravenette giggled "When are you free?"

"I'm busy today... but we can do it tomorrow!" The brunette smiled

"Tomorrow?" Mike repeated

"At 5!" Will stated the desired time

"At 5?" The ravenette reiterated

"Yep!" The brunette nodded

Mike couldn't believe his ears; this must be a dream, wanting to hear Will's voice to ensure he was not just hallucinating "So just to confirm... We are meeting tomorrow at 5?"

"Yes!" The brunette sighed "And if you repeat me again then don't think about the date at all!" chuckling playfully

"Okay!" Mike smiled "Tomorrow at 5, tomorrow at 5" chanting under his breath to hype himself up before running off. Exploding from what he did, Mike leaned against the wall in the classroom never expecting himself to go along with it. Although something felt wrong, a nauseous feeling washing over but concluding it to the thrill of his actions.
