TW: self-harm

Charlie sat on the edge of his bed, staring blankly at the bandages wrapped tightly around his wrist. He had relapsed, and he felt like a failure. He had promised himself that he wouldn't do it again, but the overwhelming emotions had become too much to bear. He felt a tear escape his eye, and he wiped it away, feeling ashamed. He didn't want to burden anyone with his problems, but he knew he couldn't keep it a secret forever. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and Nick poked his head in. "Hey, Charlie, can I come in?" Nick asked, his voice soft and gentle. Charlie nodded, and Nick walked in, closing the door behind him. He immediately noticed the bandages on Charlie's wrist and sat down next to him on the bed. "Charlie, what happened?" Nick asked, placing a hand on Charlie's back. Charlie looked down at his lap, feeling ashamed. "I...I relapsed. I couldn't control it." Nick's expression softened, and he pulled Charlie into a tight hug. "It's okay, Charlie. You're not a failure. You're human, and you're allowed to make mistakes." Charlie felt tears streaming down his face, and he clung to Nick, feeling safe and loved in his embrace. He had been so afraid that Nick would judge him or be angry with him, but his kindness and understanding were overwhelming. Nick pulled away slightly, cupping Charlie's face in his hands. "Listen to me, Charlie. You're not alone in this. I'm here for you, and I'll always be here for you. We'll get through this together." Charlie nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. He didn't have to hide his pain anymore, and he didn't have to go through it alone. Nick stood up, holding out his hand to Charlie. "Come on, let's get some fresh air. It'll help clear your mind." Charlie took Nick's hand, feeling grateful for his presence. As they walked outside, hand in hand, Charlie knew that he had found someone who truly cared for him, someone who wouldn't judge him or abandon him when things got tough. He felt a glimmer of hope, knowing that he could overcome his struggles with Nick by his side.
