Sajana's P.O.V.
My lock was not cooperating. No, not at all. I heard a couple people behind me snickering while I struggled with it, pulling and tugging.
Finally, my lock decided it had tortured me enough and came open.
"Thank you!" I practically shouted aloud. More laughs could be heard. Annoyed, I turned around. Having a friend gave me a new confidence to stand up to those people who refused to accept me.
"Don't you have somewhere you need to be right now?" I said with gritted teeth.
"Yeah," said one of them. "Right here."
This was welcomed by guffaws from the rest of the group. There were three girls and three guys, and all of them looked like they would be hanging out by my locker for the rest of the way.
I rolled my eyes and clutching my books, strutted down the hallway towards class. On the way there, I saw Holden walking with a couple of his friends.
Be cool, be cool, I thought to myself. His friend Logan saw me and laughed.
"Look at little curry ball here," he said. They all laughed with him except for Holden. He instead gave me a look of sympathy, which induced a blush on my part. Logan and Eric looked at each other and snorted in amusement.
I just moved on, staring at the ground. A small smile couldn't help but creep onto my face.
