Sajana's P.O.V.
My tears were still flowing when I heard Gilda's voice floating up the stairs. I immediately wiped off my face and got up. Sniffing, I picked up the broom, which was lying on the ground, and leaned it against the table.
"Yes?" I called, attempting to steady my voice.
"Come down please."

"Hello again," I greeted both Gilda and Colin. The look on Colin's face told me something wasn't right. He had somewhat of an evil grin on it, and it scared me. Still, I knew I was safe with Gilda. I would be okay with a friend like her.
"What were you doing up there?" Gilda inquired, taking a few steps closer. Now that I really looked at her, she looked... unlike herself. As if she was upset. I swear, if it was Colin who upset her, I'd-
"What were you doing?" she repeated.
"Well," I answered sheepishly. "I was supposed to be cleaning, but I was kind of slacking off, sitting by the window and cryi- I mean- thinking. I'm sorry though, it won't ever hap-"
"Where is my ring?" Gilda asked through gritted teeth. I looked down to see clenched fists, and she took another step toward me. Suddenly I was scared. I had never seen Gilda like this.
"I-I don't know," I answered truthfully.
"She's lying," Colin taunted. I turned to look at him. He had a look of pure evil etched on his features.
"You're supposed to be her counselor!" I yelled at him, gesturing to Gilda. "You're supposed to be nice!"
"I am nice," he sneered. "I'm just not nice to thieves."
"What?!" I exclaimed.
"You took my ring, didn't you?" Gilda said, evidently seething. I took a few steps back, eyes wide with fear, and my hands were automatically raised defensively.
"No!" I cried. "Of course I didn't!"
Tears stung at my eyes for only the millionth time today. Gilda didn't even trust me. I wasn't her friend, no matter how long I assumed I was. I didn't have any friends. How stupid was I to believe that I could?
"You know me, Gilda," I wailed. "You know I wouldn't do that! I would never do that! Please, believe me!"
Gilda said nothing for a few moments, and I glanced up at Colin to see a smug look on his face. Looking back at Gilda, I noticed a tear rolling down her cheek.
"Get out," she whispered severely.
"But you have to bel-"
"Get out," Gilda repeated, a little louder, with a little more severity.
I took one last look at my former friend, shot a glare at smug-looking Colin, and stepped towards the door.
Upon my exit, I slammed it.
