A couple of weeks went by, weekends, maybe months, and our friendship was strong as ever. We would talk in the hallways, sit together at lunch and walk each other to class.
"Saturday?" He asks, "I think you should choose this time."
I think.
"How about a movie?" I ask.
"Yay! Sounds great, at nine?"
"Perfect."

We meet up in front of the movie theatre by a shop called Sainsbury's.
I've been standing there for only ten minutes waiting for him but it's my fault: I got here early.
I see his car park and text him.

To Caleb: I'm outside by Sainsbury's x
From Caleb: I see you! X

I look up and see him walking towards me.
"Hey," I smile.
"Hey Han," he takes my hand and we walk into the movie theatre.

This is the scary part.
I hold my breath and Caleb clutches my hand. I stroke it with my thumb and give it a little squeeze.

"That was intense!" he says to me while we walk out. Then, "Are you crying?"
"No," I lie.
"Han, it's okay to cry, it's the movies! Those movies are made to make you cry," he says soothingly.
"I always cry for movies," I cry/chuckle.

"Emily?" I ask when I get back to her house. She was nowhere in sight. The drive was quite long here, but where could she have gone?
I get a phone call from Aria.
"HANNA MARIN! COME QUICK!!!" she half yells.
"Aria what's going on?!" my breathing quickens.
"It's Caleb. He's badly injured. I think it was-"
"I don't flipping care what it was, I'm on my way!" I scream.
Calm down Hanna, you don't want to get into an accident.
"He's asking for you in his sleep," she says quietly.
Okay, I freak out now.
"Aunty Pam!!!" I yell.
Emily's Mum comes downstairs.
"Could you drive me to the hospital? I'm freaking out real bad and I don't wanna get into a car crash." I ask.
"Sure Hanna," she replies and we grab our bags and go.

"Caleb Rivers?" I ask the lady at the front desk.
"Oh yes, that's room 312," she says and I sprint down the hallway.
I open the door and see him in his hospital bed, tubes coming out of every place possible. He looks lifeless.
"C-al-leb?" I stutter. My arms are shaking as I take his cold hand in mine.
He doesn't open his eyes but lets out a groggy, "Han? is that you?"
"Yeah, Caleb its me," I reply softly, "Do you feel okay?"
"Urgh.." he groans, "Alright."
"Okay," I say, "You don't have to talk anymore, just rest okay?"
"Okay," he mumbles, "Thanks Hanna. For being here."
I smile and say, "It's okay. Now you get some rest. I'll come visit tomorrow."

I drive home in sadness with Aunty Pam (Emily's Mum) and the girls, Aria, Emily and Spencer.
Aria puts her arm around me and I begin to cry, hot tears streaming down my face like a waterfall. Only, I think I just hit the bit where it crashes.
"He'll be okay, Han," she says as we cuddle the rest of the way home.

I visit him the next day. And the next day after school. And repeat until, a week later, he's awake fully.
"Caleb!" I cry with happiness.
"Hey Han," he says softly.
"How you feeling?" I ask him.
"Quite okay thanks," he replies with a smile.
"Okay."
