Haleb: Where it all began

Something Important

After about two weeks staying with Caleb at my house, my eyes are extremely close to being healed. I can't thank him enough for what he's done to help me. It's-you know-helped me so much.

I almost didn't want to go back to school. These lovely days with Caleb are just the best. But...if I don't do it soon, I wouldn't ever bring myself to. I have to tell him.

"Hey," I say to him one night, when we were both laying awake in my room, "My Mum's going to New York for the weekend. Do you wanna have a lazy movie day tomorrow?"

"Hell yeah!" He grins.

I smile back and our eyes are locked for a few seconds until mine close and I drift into my own world of sleep.

I wake up the next morning to Caleb on the edge of my bed, holding my hand.

"Heyyy," I whisper sleepily.

"Hey, Han," he says quietly, "I think your Mum is still asleep."

"We have to talk quietly, then," I say and he smiles.

I have to.

The movie was finished and we were both cuddling, my head resting in the perfect dip in his shoulder while he puts his arms around me. I don't break away but take a deep breath and say, "Look, Caleb."

He looks at me.

I could feel the nervousness inside me. It was so thick you could cut it with a knife.

"I didn't come here just to watch movies," I begin, "I need to tell you something. Something important."

"Go ahead," he says.

"I..."

This is it. This is such a big risk.

"I think...I think I'm in love with you!" I blurt out, immediately slapping my hand over my mouth while exhaling deeply and looking down at the couch.

He is silent and I dare not look at him.

"Say something!" I plead, "Just please!"

But he doesn't. And before I know it, he kisses me and it feels as if the earth is slowly crumbling around me. Only to reveal heaven.

"I love you Hanna Marin."

Well FINALLY!!! Hehehe you've probably been waiting a long time for this moment 😜 I'm still gonna continue this book but I have started a second one but am not gonna publish anything until this ones finished k? Anyway, until next time, Peace out readers! :)
