-Caleb-

"Hanna's here for you," the nurse says.

I open my eyes slowly and Hanna is standing in the doorway smiling.

"Hey," she says, walks over and sits in a chair beside my bed, "You okay?"

"Mm," I mumble.

I am quite tired today but Hanna's here so I make an exception. I grin.

"Heyyy," she whispers, "You're awake!"

"Yah," I whisper back, "I have good news."

Her eyes brighten. It takes all I have to not look at them. Because I would burst into tears right here right now.

"I'm coming back to school, Han," I say.

"That's great!" She says softly, "I would jump up and down and squeal but I know your tired."

Yep! She knows me!

I laugh.

-Hanna-

"I would jump up and down and squeal but I know your tired." I say.

He laughs sleepily and my heart melts.

I look at my phone to stop me from crying. From love, happiness and sadness. I think Spencer says it's called mixed emotions. Whatever it's called, that's how I felt.

"Am I gonna have to push you around in a wheelchair?" I grin.

He laughs again.

"Stop laughing!" I say and blush because I wasn't supposed to say that out loud.

"Why?" He smirks.

"Because," I go redder, "It's cute."

"Oh really?" he grins.

"I would hit you but you have tubes everywhere and there's nowhere I can hit you without touching them," I reply cheekily.

"I should do this more often," he jokes.

"No," I say gently, "Please don't."

The next week, Caleb was back to school.

In a wheelchair.

I push him around for fun, sometimes, in the hallways and instead of him 'walking' me to my classes, I would 'push' him to his.

That Saturday, we went out for dinner to celebrate him coming out of hospital.

I help him out of his wheelchair and he sits down on the chair. I asked for a cushion just because I didn't want him to have any pain on that rock hard seat.

We ordered a pepperoni pizza to share, finished our drinks and left.

-At School-

As I sit beside Aria, she turns to me and asks how Caleb's doing.

"He's surviving," I say, "Thankfully. The Lord has mercy."
She nods.

Eventually the other two: Emily and Spencer, both corner me in the hallways to ask me as well.

"What is it with you guys!" I say, flustered, "Look, this has been hard for me too!"

Spencer gives me that 'You know exactly what I'm talking about' look.

Are they all in on it now? I mouth to her, already having the answer clear in my head.
When she looks down and doesn't mouth back, I knew I was right.

"You all know don't you," I ask quietly, sounding too embarrassed for my liking.

"No," they lie in unison.

I look at them with a really? look.

"Well, we kinda guessed..." Emily trailed off.

"Yeah well who told you that you were right?" I ask, looking at Spencer, who still had her head down, and the others did too.

"I'm sorry, Han," she whispers.

"It's okay but don't tell a soul," I say.

"Promise," they say, one after the other and begin to leave for their next class.
