"Dad! You're going to be late! Hurry up!" Jasmine yelled, stuffing a ham and turkey sandwich, into her father's black lunch box
"I'm going, I'm going!" Her father appeared from around the corner of their 4 bedroom home
He was out of breath, trying to fix his black tie, which was now no longer as smooth as it had been when she ironed it
A small smile appeard on her face as she looked up at her handsome father
"Here" she said, walking over to him and placing her small hands over his chest
Ever since she was little, it had only ever been just the two of them
Sadly, Jasmine's mother had abandoned them, when she was just a baby. Her father never confirmed it, but Jasmine knew, she had left with another man. Ronaldo, Jasmine's father, was a good man who never once spoke one word against his daughters mother
She had left, but Ronaldo always saw it as a blessing
He got to have his daughter just to himself. He spoiled her rotten, but she grew up right
She appreciated everything that her father did for her. Even when they had nothing materialized, they always have each other. If there was one thing in this world that Jasmine Bandoni, could never live without, it would be her father
That simple reason, was why, she would do anything to make sure her father seceded in life...anything
"I have to go" Jasmine's dad smiled and took a deep breath
"You'll be fine...everything will be absolutely fine" she smiled back, running her hands over his shoulder, smoothing out his shirt
Ronaldo smiled down at his daughter and kissed her forehead
"I'll see you soon" he called out and ran out of the room
Jasmine watched as her father got into his car and drove off
She turned around and realized that his lunch box, was sitting on the kitchen counter, which was made for only two people
"Dammit" she said, grabbing the black box and her keys
It was a good thing, today was a day off of school. This way, she could go after her dad and not miss any of her classes
Jasmine walked out of the house and over to her beat up car
The sun was barely out, hiding behind a mountain of clouds. It looked as if the sky was about to fall and whether or not Jasmine wanted to admit it, she knew that today was not going to be a good day... Not at all
Jasmine arrived at the auto shop in less than 15 minutes. She parked her silver car and walked over to the front desk
Instead of finding Augustus, a 40-year-old man she had known since she was just seven, she was greeted by a 20-year-old man. A man who was frowning down at a stack of papers infront of a branded knew computer
"I'm sorry...where is Gus?" Jasmine asked, looking around the room, that had changed completely
Everything was so different. The once light blue walls were now a dull shade of gray. There were no longer pictures of the previous owners family, (which was understandable) but those pictures made this place feel homier. Now it was so...cold and frigid
"Who? Oh...the old man, with the blue eyes?" He asked, not looking up from the computer
The comment made Jasmine, feel angry and uncomfortable. Augustus, had been with this company since the beginning. The fact that this man, thought that he could come in here and disrespect someone that she cared for so deeply, upset her beyond belief
"That old man, has a name and it is Augustus James. Now where is he?" She asked, tightening her grip on the handle of the lunch box
For the first time, the young blonde man, looked up and frowned
"Who are you?" He asked, not answering her
"My name is Jasmine Bandoni. My father works here. He forgot his lunch, so I brought it to him" she informed him, her voice strong
She had to sound confidant. She wouldn't let this man bully her
"Bandoni?" He asked, tapping his index finger, on his top lip
Jasmine sighed, as the short man, who hadn't been there more than 2 minutes, tried to recall a man who had worked here for more than 25 years
"Of course! Bandoni, he is in his office, gathering his things" the blue eyed man, said, smiling brightly at her
Immediately, Jasmine's heart stopped

I hope you all enjoyed
Okay, so I am actually writing chapter 16 right now, so if you keep reading and find and an authors note like this in the future, that's why. But the reason I went back and I'm writing this right now, is because I've been reading a lot of the comments that are spread out throughout my chapters and I'm quite upset. The truth is that I have realize that a lot of slut shaming is going on with my character. Now I know, I am fully aware that this is just a story and that this is just a book, with people that aren't real, but slut shaming is a very serious topic for a lot of young girls. In case you don't know, A slut is someone who has many casual sexual partners. That's not the person that I portraying in the story, and it seems to me like a lot of readers are using this world quite lightly and it's not OK. If you're that person who is going on other people's books and trolls around, calling people sluts, it's not fair and it's not cool. So if that's what you're planning on doing, then get out of my book and go find some thing else to read.
Okay, now that that is said and done, I really hope you all like this book and it somewhat entertains you!
Love you all
