Chapter 17 Kiss

Arriving at the pearly white gates of Lincoln Heights was much more intimidating than Jasmine would have ever thought. She had never been one to care about materialized objects, much less what anyone thought about how or where she lived,  but seeing the entrance to Lincoln Heights was something that made Jasmine's insides twist.

Growing up with a father that replaced the need for nice clothes, fancy houses, and expensive electronics, with love and kindness, was always more important. Knowing that Killian grew up in houses with far more rooms than needed, and servants to wait on him hand and foot, only made Jasmine realize how different their lives really were, from one another.

"Are you alright?" Cage asked, once the guard sitting in his post, right outside of the gates, let him in

"I'm fine" her voice low and horse

She was indeed nervous. What would she say? What would he say?

"We can go in with you if you want. You don't have to see him alone." Cage offered, looking to his side, over to Jasmine, who bit her lip anxiously

He had watched her tentatively, when he wasn't watching Aspin, captivated by her gorgeous ice blue eyes and her blue hair, which fell shot, just above her collar bone. He realized that Jasmine was much more frigidity than most. She was transparent, as were her feelings. She wasn't able to hide a single thing, from her worried eyes, to her anxious fingers

"What do you mean she doesn't have to go alone?" Aspin asked, snapping out of the deep trance she was in, since they had left Jasmine's house." Of course she isn't going alone! Why else did I come?" She asked, looking at Cage as if he were crazy. "To sit in this car and stare at her, as she makes her way into the devil's den? No love bug, that's not the way it works." She spoke, jumping up and placing her arms on the seat in front of her that Cage and Jasmine were both resting on

Cage smirked, rolling his eyes

"That's a little dramatic, don't you think leannan?"

"Okay...first off, I'm not your sweetheart and secondly, I don't care how dramatic it sounds, you're not going in there alone" Aspin smiled sweetly, looking at Cage

"You speak Gaelic?" he asked, ignoring what she just had said

"I know a few words" she said, as Jasmine sat back in her seat and watched as Cage stopped the car in front of a building that was so big, that it would be an offense to call it a mansion

"This is it?" Jasmine asked, interrupting their content bickering

Cage looked away from Aspin and nodded his head, turning off the Mustang

"His car is probably in the back" Cage said, unbuckling his seat belt and pulling an extra pair of keys from the back pocket of his jeans. "Here...for you. Go in, talk, kiss-"he wiggled his eyebrows. "Aspin and I will wait out here for you"

"What did I just say?" Aspin asked , throwing her arms up in the air

"We'll wait here!" said Cage again, not looking back to Aspin "Go" he said

"Thank you." Jasmine smiled, talking her seat belt off and turning to Aspin. "I'll be right back" she smiled at her dear friend and then she opened the door and climbed out

As soon as she closed the door, she heard the doors of the Mustang lock. She turned to see Aspin already protesting, yelling at Cage, nearly punching him, as he just smiled, laughing

Jasmine laughed quietly and turned back around to continue her way to the front door. Unlocking the door and walking in, she instantly recognized Killian's smell. Pine coned, soap, and a crisp odor of mint. As she walked deeper in Killian's home, she saw a pair of swirling stairs, leading up to a balcony like platform that you only saw in movies. To both the right and left, there were two entrances. To what? Jasmine didn't know. As she walked towards the left entrance, she turned the corner and saw a long hallway, with three doors on either side. There was however a large door, at the end of the hallway, centered right in the middle.  As she walked down the hall, she heard the sound of a T.V. running from the centered door.
