For the second time that day, loud music filled the elegant premises of the villa. The house was certainly already more than familiar with this procedure, but the arriving guests were delighted by the pulsating rhythm and rousing sounds. The villa exuded a lively atmosphere, as if looking forward to the party. Although not many guests were present yet, Thia was already extremely nervous. Her eyes kept wandering to the entrance and she eagerly waited for Sangheon to show up. Time seemed to pass in slow motion as she scurried from one spot to another, trying to keep her eyes on the entrance. Even when she was approached by the guests, Thia kept looking past their heads.

You could see the excitement and anticipation not only in her eyes, but also in her gestures. She felt like a doll that was heading towards its climax at any moment.

The sounds of music and the hum of conversation blended into a background sound that reflected Thia's inner chaos. The mansion literally pulsed with anticipation, while Kai had sought out a spot where he could maintain a full overview. He took the task Thia's father had given him quite seriously and would look to see that everything was in order. Nevertheless, he too felt the nervousness coming on as more and more people entered the estate. They were laughing and singing. A huge pack of girls and boys who were having a great time.

In his head, Kai kept praying that the expensive vases would not be destroyed, that the table surfaces or the pool in the garden would not get too dirty. He had little desire to play the cleaner the next morning.

Especially because he had actually been against the party.

But when Kang Thia had set her mind on something, there was no stopping her.

That was one of the things Kai admired about her: her willpower.

As a result, the 18-year-old girl was also insanely popular and had many friends. She was chatting with a group of girls who were trying to look cute and innocent with their giggling. They were holding their slender hands in front of their lips, checking out the guys with meaningful looks or feeling the vibe that was going on in the mansion. Thia spotted Chloe, the girl she had contacted on Instagram about Kai, and waved at her in greeting. She felt the typical impulse to use her matchmaking tactics directly, but after talking to Kai, Thia tried to suppress it.

Chloe's bright smile competed with her glossy blonde hair. As she walked toward Thia, her roundish eyes wandered past her across the room as if she were already searching for Kai. "Hi, Thia!" she warbled loudly, patting her hostess on the arm. "Thank you so much for inviting me, your house is an absolute dream!"

Her voice was so sugary sweet that one assumed it had sprung straight from a chocolate fountain with an extra helping of honey.

And at that moment, Thia remembered her statement, about Chloe being just as boring as Kai. Inwardly, the hostess would have thrown up right then and there, and it took a lot of effort not to roll her eyes up so that only the whites could be seen.
