You set Joseph and Polnareff in two chairs back-to-back

You set Joseph and Polnareff in two chairs back-to-back. Even if they were dead, no one except D'Arby was planning on keeping them that way, so the least you could do was make sure they were comfortable while Jotaro fought for their souls back.

"I overheard Jojo read off the deck of cards," you spoke to Avdol. "Was he correct?"

"Yes, he used Star Platinum," the Egyptian man responded.

"Power move. Good on him."

You crossed your arms, watching as the new deck of card's security tape was ripped from the package being opened. Jotaro laid out the cards to examine them and evaluate if they had been tampered with in any way. He then proceeded to shuffle them before placing the deck in the middle of the table.

D'Arby was first to reach for his cards. "Ten of hearts."

Then, Jotaro. "Seven of clubs."

"I'll be dealing then." He took the rest of the cards before shuffling them and placing them back down. "Cut the deck."

Jotaro did as such. D'Arby once more took the deck of cards and began to pass them out between Jotaro and himself. He got to three cards before Star Platinum appeared and grabbed his finger.

"Star Platinum just broke his finger!" exclaimed Avdol.

"I told you you wouldn't be cheating anymore," Jotaro spoke. "He tried to give me the second card rather than the one on top. It's sticking out right there for you to see. Had his plan worked, he would have had three tens."

"Woah," you breathed. "My dad would play cards sometimes but it would never get this bad."

"You're trash," D'Arby grunted in pain to Jotaro. "How dare you."

"I was being nice," he replied. "You're lucky I didn't rip it off and since you can't be trusted to deal anymore, someone else is going to do it from now on." He looked over toward a child playing ball on top of a hill as D'Arby wrapped his hand in a napkin to act like a bandage. "Avdol, ask him to come here."

"Certainly." Avdol walked off.

D'Arby looked back at Jotaro. "It appears I underestimated you, given you caught my second deal. I'll accept my fractured finger as punishment."

"Make sure you don't put a lot of weight on it," you grumbled. "Not that you need my help, anyway."

"Oh, so, what, you're being 'nice' now too?" he questioned, narrowing his eyes in your direction. "What's your ulterior motive?"

"Yeah, I am, actually, and there isn't one. I know eventually we'll get my friends back and that's enough to not have me worry about you actually being a threat, just an annoyance. That's all."
