Agrippa dragged a young woman's lifeless body out of the sea. He was saddened at her pale face for she resembled his best friend's sister with her dark hair, but Octavia was safe in Rome. There was no way Octavian would send her here. His best friend wouldn't do that to Agrippa.
How the woman had managed to be caught in the crossfire of the battle, Agrippa didn't know. But his heart clenched at the loss of innocent life.
For she was dead, truly and utterly dead in every sense of the word.
