I hear the door opening.
"SUP BESTIEEEEEE"
It's Ethan, my best friend that lives with me. He is me but the opposite gender. I met him during my the first month in NYC. At first we were cold, but as we started to talk more, we realized how much we were alike. Ethan is the kind of guy that wears underarmour compression shirts with with grey training pants from Nike and white Jordan's. His hair looks like that from a prince in a fantasy story: not too long, wavy and always steady. He works out of course, but he doesn't like too much muscle mass, he is more of an aesthetic type. He likes skateboarding, electric guitar, superhero comics (especially Spiderman), streaming etc. We talk about Spidey almost every day and never get tired of it. I am very happy about thit because these are exactly the things that I like. What a coincidence! This is probably why we get along so well, we have the same views. Honestly I feel so lucky for running into him.
He looks sum like that:"SUPPPPP", I answer and give him the bro fist.
"You look exhausted, is everything okay?" Ethan cares about me more than anyone else. It's shocking to think about how close we became in this short time.
"Yeah, about that... there is something I need to tell you." I stop for a moment.
"Oh no... here it comes", he jokes.
I exhale and let out a tiny laugh. "Well, you know I've always been a fan of Spidey right? And how it's my biggest dream to be the Spidergirl in the Avengers team? Here's the thing... S.H.I.E.L.D. approached me. They want me."
"Wait, seriously? You're about to become Spidergirl in real life? Sarah this is amazing! I'm so happy for you!"
"Thank you. Which is why I'm so exhausted, the side effects of the spider are so annoying. I keep sticking onto the floor all the time! Please, someone help me."
He laughs in a "making fun of me" type of way.
"Cut it off", I say in a loud but humorous tone. This dude makes me laugh in the most uncomfortable situations. All you have to do is look at him and you laugh for the rest of the day. That's not very beneficial in funerals I suppose. I hope I won't have to find that out. Can you imagine? Hahahah.
I keep going: "I was thinking we could also use this as an opportunity to make money and connect to the people."
"What do you have in mind?"
"Spider-Merch, making pictures and selling them with my autograph... that stuff."
"That's not a bad idea, we just have to plan this better."
"Yes, I will have to introduce myself to the crowd first."
Ethan's eyes widen, his jaw drops of excitement. I get curious.
"Oh my gosh!" He gasps.
"What's wrong?" I cannot wait any longer. "Come on, spit it out!"
"Can I be your guy-in-the-chair? You know, the guy that helps Spiderman with that technology stuff. Everybody needs a guy-in-the-chair. Plus, I can be very helpful. Pleaseeeeeeee!" His pupils widen and he makes that puppy face kids make, when they really want that toy but they're parents say No.
At first I thought this is silly. But then I thought deeper and... this is actually pretty smart.
"All right bro, you're officially my guy-in-the-chair."
"Yayyyyy! But first, training. Follow me, I know a place."
We both take our skateboards and leave the house.
