Mr. Shade ends the class, and before I can stand up, I sense Peter tapping his finger on my shoulder to get my attention.

"You wanna hang out with me and my best friend? I promise we're nice guys." He speaks to me with excitement. I can't say no to him, he's too nice.

"Sure, why not." I lift my shoulders and push my lips together while letting out a soft smile.

Then suddenly Mr. Shade looks at me. "Ms. Bennett, can I talk to you for a second?" I am confused. What does he want from me? Is it because of earlier? But he does not look serious, more like friendly.

"Sure thing." I walk up to him while Peter tells me he will wait for me outside. At this point, everyone left the classroom. He rolls to his desk with his chair made for teachers. You can tell that it's made for teachers because student chairs don't have these wheels, and they're not made of soft red cotton. He rests his elbows on the desk and makes his palms touch each other. Even tho he tries to look friendly, I know that teachers who do this always have something serious to discuss.

"Sooooo... I just wanted to talk to you about earlier... you know, when you walked in with Nick Fury and who I believe is Tony Starks Manager, Happy. I don't want to put you under pressure or make you uncomfortable, I just want to know what they are doing here with you. You know, as a teacher, I want to know these things to be able to protect my students. It must be something serious or even secret. I don't wanna call you a liar, but I have a feeling that you are not here because of your volunteer year. Is that true?" He looks me deep in the eye, I have no idea what to say. My entire body freezes and I swallow hardly. I can't tell him the truth, but what else should I say? What other reason does Fury have to be here? Shit. But why does he care that much? What does the think I know? He must have stolen the weapons, and he thinks that S.H.I.E.L.D is after him! Honestly, he cannot be more obvious. That's a pretty bad excuse. He probably suspects me to be their spy. What do I say?

At the same time Happy is in the staff room and sees everything through his laptop. He hears Mr. Shade asking questions and starts to breathe heavily out of fear. "Oh no, not good!"

I must improvise now, or else he will continue to suspect me. "Oh you see, they asked me where the staff room is and I told them I am new here so I am clueless and I needed to go to the staff room and we looked for the staff room together and we ended up sitting in there together. I only heard them talk about a school trip to S.H.I.E.LD, that's it." Phew. I used too many "ands" in that sentence. This shows him that I'm nervous. I need to ask him questions too so I can do my job .
"Why did you think they are here? And why do you suspect me of lying?"

He smirks because he did not expect this. "Those are good questions. I don't know why they are here, that's why I asked. Also, I didn't exactly suspect you of lying... it just seems weird to me that a new student and Fury show up at the same time. I watched a lot of movies."

"Well, you need to recognize fantasy and real life."

Happy is relieved that Sarah mastered this.

"Yeah, I suppose that's true." He looks at the clock on the wall, and I look at Peter, who was peeking all the time. For real now?
"That's it, sorry for taking away your break."

"No problem." I say nothing more and leave the classroom.

I close the door and take a deep breath. That was a close one.

"Did I get you in trouble? I- I didn't mean to."
It's Peter, who is worried about doing damage to me.

"Don't worry, this was not about you," I say and hope he stops talking about it.
