We sat on his bed while he scrolled through Netflix on his Xbox, connected to his mounted TV. This was starting to feel more and more normal as the seconds ticked by - Matt is just a person, he's normal.
"OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD, HOLLY HAVE YOU SEEN STEPBROTHERS!?" He practically yelled jumping off the bed. Thank god we were alone in his house.
"Yeah...loads...of...times" I said between fits of laughter.
"Well too bad, we're watching it again." Matt crossed his arms over his chest like a 3 year old. He put on stepbrothers and ran downstairs, leaving me very confused.
I paused the film, because he seemed pretty excited about watching it, and I walked around his bed, looking out the window. The estate was really pretty from this view. I could actually see my balcony from here!
"Woah..." I said to myself.
"Yeah, it's nice isn't it."
I jumped at the sound of his voice and thought I was going to fall out the window.
"God Matt, don't do that again!" I said hitting his arm gently.
"I brought food!"
"Hurray!" I said mimicking his sound
We started watching the film and Matt had already chocked on his popcorn 5 times, and it was only 30 minutes into the film.
"You okay there?" I said laughing
"Yeah...just...fine" Matt said between coughs.
I reached for the skittles.
So did he.
Holy shit.
Our hands touched. It was the most awkward thing ever.
I pulled my hand away quickly and Matt just laughed, throwing skittles at me.
I picked up the popcorn and started throwing it at him.
Before we knew it, the whole room was covered in food. To make matters worse, someone had just just walked in.
"Hel- What happened?! Who's this?! Clean this up before mum gets home!" Matt's sister Kristen said before walking out.
"Sorry" I chuckled
"Oh no it's not your fault! You might wanna go home before my mom gets home because she doesn't want girls in the house.... I'm really sorry, but I'll text you later, what's your number?"
"555-suckmyass"
(idk how I have friends😂)
"Okay, thanks for coming over! I'll see you in the morning" Matt said before coming over and hugging me.
I walked out the door and said goodbye to Kristen.
As I was on my way home I couldn't stop thinking about what just happened
I'm sorta friends with Matt now...holy cow...he's actually really nice. Like, I know I already live him from his vines and YouTube videos, but now I'm actually starting to know him, personally, and he's really cool.
When I got home I told my parents about my first day and how I met a few people and they're really nice.
They said that they were really happy I had a great day and I went up to my room. I sat on the bench on my balcony and watched the sun go down over Matt's house. It was so beautiful.
All of a sudden something more beautiful caught my eye - Matt was looking out his window smiling at me. I smiled back and gave him the peace sign.
I could see him throw his head back in laughter and he walked away from his window.
I became really sad, but before I knew it he had sat back down in front of his window, this time with his phone. I heard my phone ringing on my bed and I walked in and answered it.
"Hello?"
"Come onto the balcony"
At first I was hella confused (😂?!) but then I realised who I was talking to.
I walked out on the balcony and Matt was at his window waving at me
"You're so weird" I said smiling and giggling at Matt.
"Thanks, you too"
"I'm really tired I think I'm gonna go asleep"
"Okay, goodnight weirdo"
"Goodnight weirdo"
I hung up the phone, smiling.
I got into my pyjamas and went to sleep, obviously not able to get over what just happened in the last few hours.
Wow, I think this book is starting to take shape! I hope you guys are enjoying it! It's gonna get dramatic in the next few chapters so enjoy it while it's simple😂
