I didn't want to move. Matt tucked a strand of hair behind my ear and I felt his minty breath hit my face. "You look beautiful" Matt whispered softly, making me smile and look down at our toes which were now touching. My gaze flicked to my hand which was still gripped firmly on his wrist. "Uh, sorry I didn't realise I was still holding on I didn't mean to even grab you so hard haha oops." "Look who's rambling now" Matt smirked at me and we packed our stuff since it was getting pretty late and we wanted to be home around the same time as Ella and Hayes.
The car ride home was peacefully quiet. I contemplated what just happened. We had a moment. He called me beautiful. I feel like as I'm getting to know him more and more I'm falling for him harder and harder. "Is that Hayes?" Matt said distracting me from my thoughts. "That's Ella!" I said shocked at what we were looking at. Matt pulled into McDonalds and we rushed out of the car and inside. Ella and Hayes were at the window seat making out. Matt and I burst out laughing as we sat opposite them in the booth. They jumped and turned to face us, blushing like crazy.
"So you two, eh? I have to say, I saw it coming" Matt admitted as Hayes and Ella didn't dare say a word. "Oh please," I tilted my head to the side to exaggerate my words "it was so obvious! Why didn't you just tell us?" "Nash is insanely protective of me and he doesn't like me dating anyone" Hayes said "Yeah, and if we were to tell you we were afraid Nash might find out" Ella added. This seemed like a perfectly good reason but they were acting very suspicious. "Okay, well we'll leave you two to get back to your tonsil tennis. Text you later" I waved goodbye tugging Matt to the car with me.
"What was that about?" Matt asked putting his seatbelt on. "Nothing I just felt too awkward and I needed to get out of there before it got worse..." I trailed off as Matt reversed the car. I put on the radio and Accidentally In Love started playing. I LOVE THIS SONG! THIS IS MY JAM!! HOLY THROWBACK I was so excited I hadn't listened to it in ages. I prepared my self as the instrumental intro begun. When the first verse came on I couldn't hold it in any longer...

Matt and I sang along to every word of the song.

Matt turned to me and I swear my heart race increased by like 500%
"We're accidentally in love..."
When we got home I was really tired and my voice was sore from singing so loudly. I flopped down on the sofa not giving a damn about anything whatsoever. "Do u want water?" Matt asked walking to the kitchen. "Matt, this is my house I'll get myself water thank you very much" I said strutting past him. I turned on the tap letting the cold water fill the glass. It was so refreshing I completely forgot that Matt was standing beside me waiting to get himself water. "You really do like to day dream Holly""Uh huh" I walked into the sitting room and started watching friends. It was the episode where Monica and Chandler get married. Matt sat down beside me and laughed. "What...?" I was confused since nobody had said anything funny. "It's funny," Matt said in amusement "how two people who were friends for years and years can end up together..." He trailed off, sipping his drink before placing it on the coffee table and stretching his legs out on the sofa. "They knew each other for so long, completely unaware that one day it would click and everything would make sense..." Matt stared into space and looked as if he was thinking really hard about something.
"Meh, I like the one with the holiday armadillo better." I shrug off his comment quickly before over thinking it.
We had watched 1 1/2 seasons of friends and by now it was dark outside. I was lying with my head in Matt's lap, and he was stroking my shoulder with his thumb. I had lost count of the amount of blankets we had gathered from around the house. I felt myself dozing off but the episode we were in the middle of was so good I didn't want to fall asleep. I looked up at Matt and he was focused on the TV. He looked so cute. He always had that one strand of hair that he said annoyed him because it wouldn't stay in place but it was the cutest thing ever, the freckles
on his cheeks, his sharp jawline...he was so perfect and all I wanted was to lay like this just a little bit longer.
"Holly, I know you're staring" Matt's voice startled me and I quickly turned my head back to the TV. "Can we watch something else?" I asked "A film maybe?" "Sure what do you want to watch?" "Have you seen the fault in our stars?" "No."
I sat up immediately staring at him blankly. "YOU HAVENT SEEN THE FAULT IN OUR STARS?! You need to reevaluate your life, mister!" Matt laughed at my nickname for him and he got up to put the disk in the player. We started the film and Matt seemed to be enjoying it.
About half way through the film, the sex scene came on...
The tension between us was so awkward. I saw from the corner of my eye that Matt was looking over at me and I got butterflies in my stomach. The scene was finally over and I sighed in relief. Matt shot me a weird look but I honestly didn't care. After today we had just gotten so close...in multiple ways...😏
It was nearing the end of the film and I was already a balling mess of tears and tissues. Matt was trying to seem tough but I could see a tear threatening to drop. When the credits started to roll I completely lost it. "I-i-it g-gets me every-ev-everytime" I say between sobs. Matt scooted over the second he saw me crying and wrapped his arms around me. "Oh my god, Holly don't cry, pleaseeeeeeeee. You'll make me all sad" He comforted me and I soon stopped crying. I looked to Matt and he had fallen asleep. I guess he's staying over again tonight. I lightly laughed as cute little snores escaped his mouth. "Goodnight weirdo" I whispered as I fell asleep in his arms.
