I woke up to the sound of the door closing. Emilie and the Nash had left. There was a note on the ground next to Matt, who I'm guessing had rolled off the couch last night. I read the note aloud;
"Gone to get breakfast at Starbucks with Nash :)
Hope you and matt had fun last night ;)
Text you later, love you loser! Emilie x"
I laughed at the note and heard Matt laugh lightly. "Good morning" I got up, walking to the kitchen and Matt grabbed my leg pulling me back onto the couch. "What is it Matt I'm hungry!?" I said wanting fruit loops. "What do you say we get back at Ella?" I grinned at the thought and got Matt to help me lift Ella on to Hayes' chest. She was a really heavy sleeper so she didn't wake up. I got 4 pictures on my phone before Hayes woke up. He looked confused at first but then pushed Ella off him. Her face hit the floor and made a loud bang. Shit.
We all sat along the edge of my pool with Ella holding an icepack to her head. "So what are you two doing today?" Matt asked Ella and Hayes. "Why? What plan do you two have that I don't know about?" Hayes directed the question to Matt and I with a smirk. "Oh no I don't have anyth-" "Me and Holly are going to the beach" Matt stated extremely nauchelant.
Hold up. I never agreed to this....but I'm not exactly gonna turn down Matt!
"Ehhhh, yeah. We are so you guys have to do something by yourselves sorry."
Hayes and Ella agreed to go to the cinema together and left after having breakfast and getting changed. The door closed behind them and I asked Matt straight away why he did that.
"Well it's a nice day and I'm not doing anything soooooo" He trailed off. "Okay fine, just give me 10 minutes to get ready." "Okay" Matt smiled from ear to ear as I walked to my room.
All of a sudden a million thoughts ran through my head...
I'm going to the beach with Matt...just Matt...just us two...is this a date?
Oh my god, it's a date.
I'm going out with my crush on a date.
No, wait.
We're just friends...right?
Don't get too worked up over this, Holly.
"You ready yet?" Matt asked from my doorway. "Oops sorry I-I was just-eh I was about to-I'll be down in 5 haha sorry"

I changed into a navy one piece and put a see-through kimono over it, slipping my feet into flip flops and walking downstairs with my sunglasses in my hand.
*skip car ride to beach*
I stepped out of the car and the sun felt so nice on my skin. I walked beside Matt until we found a spot in the shade and we laid down our towels.
"Hey, Holly? Could you put some sun lotion on my back? I can't reach" I chuckled at his childish request but did it anyway. I picked the sun lotion out of the bag and squirted a small amount onto my hand. The bottle made a fart noise and Matt fell over laughing.
He's so cute omg.
"C'mon Matt I need to put this on you before you burn!" I said laughing at him. He turned around and for the first time I actually noticed how toned his back was. My jaw literally dropped which doesn't happen often. "Holly?" I was snapped out of my daze by Matt clicking his fingers in my face. I felt my face flush a deep red and I pushed Matt to turn around, hoping he didn't notice me staring. I rubbed my hands together and started putting the sun lotion on his back...his toned back...his beautiful toned, tanned back... Oh god, it was happening again! I'm so weird...
After sunbathing for about 40 minutes I was getting way too warm and decided I wanted to go in the water. I shook Matt and he woke up from his sun coma. "I'm going to the water do you wanna come?" "Well, I'm not sure if I wa-LAST ONE TO THE WATER IS A ROTTEN EGG!" Matt pushed himself up, knocking me down onto the sand, and ran to the water. I got up following him into the refreshingly cold water. Matt was already pretty far out to the point where I could barely stand without drowning. I ran the last few feet and me, being the smooth mothertrucker I am, tripped over a bunch of seaweed. I fell forward into the water and Matt had to pick me out before I started drowning...how embarrassing...
"Oh my god are you okay?!" Matt's voice was filled with worry, but I couldn't answer him. The water was too deep and my feet couldn't reach the sand. I hate being short. Matt lifted me up again and swung me over his shoulder. "Damn, Holly you need to stop drowning or else someone's gonna have to give you mouth to mouth..." I could hear the smirk on his face as he said those words and my eyes grew wide. He carried me back to our towels and laid me down gently. I sat there dumbfounded at what he said. "Sorry, it's not my fault I'm short" I finally broke the silence. "Ohhhhhhhh mahhhhhhh gawdddddddd it's an ice cream truck!" Matt squealed sounding like a 5 year old. "I swear to god, being with you is like raising a child" I murmured quietly but I guess Matt heard me as the next thing I know Matt was squirting water at my face. I gasped at the sudden coldness that just hit me and stood up. For a good 30 seconds I had the same expression on my face of complete and utter shock. "I'm so sorry I didn't mean to I was just trying to be playful I really didn't mean to annoy you oh my gosh please forgive me you know what I'll just walk home, you take the car here are the ke-""Awe, you're so cute when you ramble about unnecessary things" He continued to walk away thinking I was mad at him. I grabbed his arm and pulled him back, causing his bare chest to bump into me. I stood completely still and stared back into his eyes. The way the sun glistened on them put me in a trance and I didn't want to move.
