THIRTY-ONE

3 years later*

Cain.

"Ok those desks go there. Yep. This looks great guys."

I couldn't help but smile as I watched my mate give orders.

The school house was finally finished after years of planning and building. Finnick was so happy with it. He designed everything on his own.

"Hi baby." I say when he finally turns to me

"Hi husband." He says kissing me softly

"Should you be on your feet?" I ask worried

"I'm pregnant not dying." He says waving me off

So much has changed these last few years. Like so much.

Kai and Devon had their pups. Yes plural.

Devon ended up giving birth to three boys and a girl. Ronan, River, Declan and Aliyah. It was very crazy in the delivery room that day to say the least.

My mom had my little sister Opal and she's the wildest three year old I've ever met. Her and Aliyah run circles around the boys. 

Zade and Cameron were mated but we all knew that was going to happen.

Elliot and I have made peace and we're actually friends now. He was mated to this nice girl from the Sugar Creek pack. They were an unlikely pair. She tried to kill him the first day they'd met.

Emery and her two friends came around very often. Those two were strange, good people but a little strange. They didn't talk to very many people. They're the complete opposite of Emery who literally talks everyone's ear off.

As for Finnick and I we got married last year. It was great. It was huge and many people came.

We also took a huge step by signing adoption papers for Leo. He had asked us to be his guardians on this 13th birthday and Finnick broke down crying.

A month ago we found out Finnick was pregnant. Niko was so excited when he found out he was getting a grandchild. Leo was also happy that he was getting a younger sibling.

"I know you're not dying baby. I just want you to be safe. Don't push yourself." I say

He smiles and places his hand on his belly.

"We are both ok." He says

I look down at his hand and place mine over it.

"Has she moved yet?"

"No but Dr. White said she'll be kicking my ribs any day now."

I smile.

We don't know they babies gender yet but we're hoping for a girl. We'll be happy as long at we have a healthy baby though.

Finnick takes my hand and we walk out of the school.

"Finnick!"

Rya was running towards us, a herd of pups stumbling behind her.

"Has the baby moved yet?" She asks

Finnick shakes his head and gives her a smile.

"Alright. Back to the house pups!"

Rya gathers them all before disappearing into the house

"Little ring leader." I whisper to Finnick 

It was a nice day and almost everyone was outside.

"Dads! I'm taking the pups to the pond!"

I turned and saw Leo and Connor standing with Rya and the pups.
