Ever since Violet saw Emi at my place that night, I've been feeling guilty. I have not made a commitment to her or told her we were together, but I feel terrible knowing I'm a piece of shit in her eyes.
Any hope I had reconciling and being with Violet was dwindling with every ignored text message and call to her.
Also, her being on a date with Daichi was annoying the hell out of me, but I also knew it wouldn't go any further than that. She's carrying my child, which is the only hope I have of getting her to be with me.
She hates me right now, but I'm hoping for the light at the end of the tunnel. Once Daichi finds out that Violet is pregnant, he will leave her alone. He has too much pride to accept another man's child as his, let alone be with a pregnant woman.
Of course, Violet doesn't believe she's pregnant because of her period coming on. But she will find out that I'm not entirely human, so my DNA doesn't follow human reproduction completely.
Me releasing inside of her was intentional...she's definitely pregnant.
When I was a child, I was born with snake-like skin and was sent to an orphanage because I was different. As months passed, my resemblance became more like a reptile.
My mother was young and not married, so her family thought I was cursed and would bring misfortune to them if she kept me. They sent me away when I was a baby.
At the orphanage, I slowly took on my human form again as I got older. I was able to thrive in athletic competition and was sent to boot camp where I met Mr. Zen.
Instead of hiding my differences, Mr. Zen taught me to embrace them and gain control. I turned into a fighting machine from the age of ten until eighteen.
I've been head of security and protector of the Zen family ever since.
My phone was ringing again...it was Emi. She's planning on calling off her engagement, and I told her not to. I had no plans on being with her whether I met Violet or not.
KNOCK KNOCK!
Now someone was at my door. I answered...it was Emi.
"Rin, why aren't you answering my calls?"
I ignored her questions. "Why are you here?"
"I need to know where I stand with you. If you don't be with me, I'm walking out that door and never coming back."
She was being dramatic as usual.
"I already told you to stay with your fiance."
"Why?! We have been messing around for so long, and you still don't see more for us?"
"It's only been a few times. We're friends, Emi...that's it."
"I am in love with you, Rin. Why are you hiding your feelings for me?"
I was confused. "What feelings?"
"Is it because of Violet?"
Hearing that name made my heart skip. The thought of being around her made me excited.
"Oh no, it is because of her. Did you sleep with her?"
Emi's phone was ringing, but she ignored it.
"You need to leave."
"Fuck you, Rin! You're going to regret this!"
"Are you threatening me?"
My face showed my defense and she began to calm down. She was leaving with no tears like I expected because she's over dramatic and throws tantrums.
But once she opened the door her fiance was standing about to knock. The look on both their faces was of shock and I instantly got a headache.
I don't have time for this shit.

I couldn't believe Antonio was standing in front of me. I thought my season with him was over.
"How have you been?" He asked.
I was in utter disbelief and no words would come out of my mouth. Trying to get past him, he quickly blocked me from getting by. I stepped back and took a deep breath.
"Move out of my way."
"No, not until you talk to me."
"What do you want me to say, Antonio?"
"I don't know...just stop being so cold towards me. I know what my ex-wife did was messed up but I divorced her and I'm living by myself and going to therapy."
"Good for you. Now excuse me.
"Violet, stop. You're just going to throw away the time we had together? I truly loved you and still do."
"Is there a problem?" Daichi walked up.
Before I could answer, period cramps began to hit me. My hand covered my stomach while I cringed in pain.
"Violet, are you okay?" They both asked in unison.
"Who the hell are you?" Daichi asked Antonio.
"I'm her boyfriend..."
"EX-boyfriend," I interrupted.
I walked away from the drama and went back to my seat. Daichi stayed talking to Antonio. I couldn't believe this was happening right now.
Soon, a woman approached them and started raising her voice at Antonio.
Is that his date?
The nerve of him to try and talk to me while he's on a date. He is really out of his mind. My cramps were continuing to make its presence known while Daichi was now trying to stop the woman from hitting Antonio.
"I gotta get out of here."
I left my seat to go outside and threw up in the bushes. I was feeling light-headed and sat down on the bench near the curb.
"Violet?"
I looked up, and Rin was getting out of his car, walking towards me. I don't know how he knew I was at this particular restaurant, but that was furthest from my worries at the moment.
"R-Rin, I feel really sick..."
He helped me stand to my feet, then lifted me up into his arms. Once he got me into the car, he drove off, and I closed my eyes as my stomach pain began to ease.
"I told you not to drink."
