Daichi didn't think it was a good idea to go to Rin's place, so he took me to mine instead. I didn't feel comfortable going to his place either.

After a good wash and cry, I got out of the shower and dried off. I blow dried my hair while I watched one of my favorite movies on my tablet.

Soon, I could smell something delicious coming from downstairs. I threw on a nightgown and went to the dining room. Daichi cooked a delicious dinner for us. My stomach started growling, and he smiled.

"Yeah, you should eat now."

I got excited. "You don't have to tell me twice."

He laughed, then we both sat down and enjoyed each dish that was on the dining room table.

"You're an awesome cook, Daichi."

"Thank you. Not having a mother made me self-sufficient in many things as a child."

"Understandable. Thank you for helping me today."

"No problem."

"What are you going to do about Emi?"

Daichi sighed, then leaned back in the chair.

"I honestly don't see us being in a romantic relationship. But I will be there for our daughter."

"I really do pray that she doesn't give you a hard time. Every child needs their father."

He gave me a nod in agreement.

After everything that happened these past few months, it was still hard to know who was really on Rin's side.

"Be honest with me, Mr. Ito. Did you have anything to do with Rin's disappearance?"

He looked me straight in my eyes. "No. I would never harm Rin."

"What about the hospital incident?"

"That was different. Plus, I was holding back."

"Yeah right."

I laughed while he smiled. We continued eating, then I went back upstairs while Daichi handled work related stuff.
