I let Emi's words sink in, trying not to freak out. She was so smug about it, and I did everything I could to compose myself.
"Wow...I guess they'll be siblings."
"Yeah, I guess so."
Emi walked towards the door, then rubbed her belly. She was already showing, and I instantly felt sick.
"Sleep well, Violet."
After the door closed, I rushed to the bathroom and puked. Every time I thought my life was getting better, some bullshit would happen.
I was so fucking tired of being disppointed in myself.
Why do I keep making dumb choices?!
There was a possibility that she was lying but knowing they've been sleeping together for years and Rin was so quick to cum inside me...why wouldn't he do the same to her?
That night I couldn't sleep at all. I changed back into my clothes and headed out the bedroom door.
I went into the living room, hoping I could find the keys to the SUV or any car that was out there. To my luck, Daichi's bag sat on the floor next to the sofa.
I went through it, and I found them.
I hurried outside, not caring if an alarm went off or a dog barked. I was getting the hell out of there.
On my way home, I cried at the thought of having my baby alone. I thought of a million scenarios that me and Rin could co-parent or be together.
The thought of Emi being pregnant by him made me hate the thought of being with Rin. But it's my fault that I slept with him with no protection.
Once I pulled up to my house, I went in and packed a few suitcases. I had a very healthy savings account, and I was ready to go away for a couple of months.
I left the SUV parked in front of my house with the keys in the sun visor, then loaded my car with my suitcases. I peeled off, not knowing where my next stop would be, but I knew it would be far away from this shit show called my love life.

After the last demon crumbled in stone, Tymin gave up. There was no other way for him to beat us, and he knew it.
All my men worked quickly and efficiently to shut down any other entities from coming through the portals and causing havoc.
During the fight, I saw Violet being taken away by Daichi. I later received a text from him saying she was safe and at Mr. Zen's.
I exhaled in relief and hurried in that direction. The sun was now up, and the roads were clear. All I wanted to do was shower, make love to Violet, and hear our baby's heartbeat.
When I pulled up, Emi came running out the door. She wrapped her arms around my waist.
"You're okay...thank goodness!"
I looked behind her, hoping to see Violet, but she wasn't there. I removed Emi's arms from around me while Daichi stood in the doorway.
"Where is Violet?"
"I don't know," Emi answered.
I hurried inside, running through the house. I called out to her with no answer.
"Her room was over here."
I walked inside the guest room, and it was empty. Her scent was all over the bed as I inhaled the pillow she slept on.
"Why did she leave?"
"Ask Emi?" Daichi grinned, then walked out.
My stare went to her, and she took a hard swallow. She wasn't leaving until she told me what happened.
"What did you do?" I asked through clenched teeth.
"Why did you betray me, Rin? You continued to sleep with her, knowing I was pregnant."
"Pregnant?"
"Yes, I am carrying your child!"
I shook my head. "No...you're not putting this on me."
"Rin, it's true...You are the father."
"No, I'm not."
"Yes, you are."
I looked to see Mr. Zen standing in the doorway. He was the last person I needed to hear this.
"Hebi, I knew you and Emi were seeing each other at some point, but I thought it was just a phase. I thought that getting her engaged would make her wake up and leave you alone."
I looked away, letting him continue.
"I thought when you met Violet, you would walk away from my daughter, and you did. But now she is pregnant with your child along with Violet."
"Mr. Zen...."
"I don't know what you plan on doing with Violet, but you will do right by my daughter and my grandchild."
"Father, you need your rest." Emi led him out of the room.
I sat down on the bed, knowing Violet must be upset. I got up and hurried outside.
"Rin, where are you going?!"
Ignoring Emi, I got in my truck and sped off. I knew she was not pregnant by me and was pinning it on me to not look bad in front of her father.
If he knew Emi was cheating on Hiro with multiple men, he may disown her. In their family, dishonorable women were judged way harsher than men.
When I pulled up to Violet's house, I saw one of our SUVs parked in the front, but her car was gone.
I broke into her house and searched around...she wasn't there, and my heart dropped. There was no clue where she could have possibly gone, and I was pissed.
How am I supposed to keep her safe?
I laid on her couch for a few minutes, trying to get my thoughts together. Violet always runs when she can't handle stuff. I just wished she would've let me talk to her first.
Then I remembered my phone.
In my car, I sat searching for the tracking app I put on Violet's car. I opened it and within a few minutes it beeped. Violet wasn't aware that I put the tracker on her car when we came from her doctor's appointment.
Tracker vehicle location on.
The app announced as I turned the GPS on. Now I'm ready to take a nice and quiet road trip.
