Chapter 4: Setsuna Sunset

He walked for hours, communicating with Tyler through a device that Fu Hua set up.Apparently Tyler was now training underneath Aponia's guidance which was something that Glitch was happy to hearTyler had always let his anger control him, so being taught how to control said anger from a nun was a blessing to immortal ears.But as he was walking, he noticed a girl being affected by the infection laying down on the hillside.He ran to her side and instantly attempted to absorb the infection but something was off.upon closer inspection she looked like Elysia...but with blue hair and a darker outfit.finding out that she was faking her pain he tried to pull away from the infection to stop attempting to cure her.She grabbed his hand and pulled him closer, until the infection had spread across his entire body.Not even suffering in hell could compare to the pain that was coursing through his veins, only being able to look up at her.A sinister grin grew on her face as she slowly waved goodbye to Glitch.The world around him had begun to fade and the lights dimmed...Suddenly, among the void that had taken over his sight, he heard a voice call out his name in panic.It sounded like Tyler was calling his name, trying to bring him back.The man had a job that needed to be done and giving up didn't seem to be in his schedule. His eyes shot open as he layed in the meadow of an asteroid field.He didn't have enough time to take in his environment as he noticed that pink flashes of light were going off above him.Elysia had been fighting Sakura this entire time.So instead of staying still, he looked for a way up.But he then remembered who he was and threw the sword up in the middle of where they were fighting.Using his electrokinesis, he teleported to the blade and blocked Elysia from getting hit by Sakura's blade.After he caught his footing, he started looking for openings in her stance.A few encounters later and they were at each other's throats, while Elysia tried to provide backup where she could.The two fought Sakura in what seemed like a downhill battle, with victory being almost assured when they were working together.For where Glitch lacked range and accuracy, Elysia made up for her bow skills.And for where she would fail in CQC, Glitch stepped in and fought while she gained enough distance to start firing again.Until Sakura glitched out...but she was different then the rest.The ground started to rumble, the rock started to shake violently, and Elysia nearly fell off the platform they stood on.Glitch quickly caught her by the wrist and hoisted her back to her feet.They both looked at Sakura in surprise, as she had changed into the same color scheme Glitch saw in his hallucination.He was ready to go on the offensive and charge in...but she had froze in fear.

"Elysia?"

No response.He forgot entirely about Sakura's presence as he tried to snap her out of her trance, but nothing seemed to work.So instead of trying to wake her up, he simply got into a defensive stance and was ready to die to protect her.Sakura's eyes glitched for a few seconds, but that few seconds must have reminded her of something to make her freeze up as well.Everyone was still, the wind was quiet, and barely a sound was made.A whole 3 minutes went by of just pure silence before Sakura slowly floated towards the ground.Everything was quiet before she spoke words that could barely be heard.

"rin ..."

What happened next was a quick flash that only trained snipers could barely make out.Sakura attacked Glitch with a singular slash, sheathing her blade after landing.Glitch fell to the floor, blood was falling from his shirt.In this power struggle of speed and stamina, he had failed against her.Elysia grabbed him before he could fall on the ground, running away while crying.But as she was running, he put his hand on her cheek.

"Take me back there..."

"And have you die?!"

"Just...trust me on this..."

She looked him in the eyes as he looked back to her reflecting with pure determination.Then she turned around and placed him near Sakura, who was still stanced and ready to fight.He struggled to pull out his blade, but he had enough strength to do one thing...Crouching into a drawing position, he breathed slowly and surely.Time seemed to slow down around Sakura and Glitch as they looked at each other.Determination was apparent in both her and his eyes as they stared for a solid minute.But the minute one of Elysia's tears hit the ground...they launched at each other.But instead of slashing her, he grabbed her by the legs and shifted his momentum to pin her to the ground, grabbing her and curing her of the infection in the process.After that entire ordeal, the three of them went back to the lab and Glitch found out that Tyler had brought both Pardofelis and Aponia in!
