Through his life, Glitch had always denied who he truly was.
He knew that his sole reason for living was to fight and kill, but after being raised by the kind people of his world, he eventually tried to rid himself of this need.He confined himself to a small shack in the woods, where no one would find him, in order to protect the outside world from who he really was.But one day...That all changed with an invitation to a fighting tournament. He decided that it could be a great way of distracting himself, so he joined in with high expectations. The arena housed tons of fighters and the reward was unexplained...but this seemed right to him. After fighting in 10 rounds, each bringing on fighters closer and closer to his level, he came across someone who could finally overpower him.An offspring of demon and human, a wanderer from the remains of a shattered city, the rightful demon ruler. All these titles were only mear glimpses of who he really was.He eventually lost the battle, but gained something in return. For the price of lethality, the man had been disqualified from the fight, and Glitch had won the prize.A chance to fight the organizer of the event, Yang Xiao Long, had been known and attempted by him.Just barely getting the victory, Glitch had proven his worth and was allowed to go home knowing that he had more training to do.But the swordsman wasn't done fighting just yet, for he was tested by the man in the long coat, and his power had been unleashed. He met up with an old friend, fought an army, found love, and more importantly...He learned how to do the right thing. After flying through the portal with the intent of breaking it and whatever was allowing it to generate something that nearly formed a black hole, he was flung across time and space.A normal man would have died during the trip, but his entire soul screamed "No".A soft brush of clouds flew overhead, the green grass touched his neck, and overgrown vines had latched onto nearby broken buildings.Where was he? Will he ever return home? Is this what death felt like? All of these questions filled his head...before he got a rock dropped on his forehead.
"Hey, are you alive?"
"Would someone dead be able to speak?...also oww."
He sat up and brushed his hair to the side, noticing his arm had...gone back to normal? This new discovery caused him to freak out since Azmuth stated that his arm was the result of a DNA transmutation from a glitch within the Omnitrix. But apparently that dive into the portal had fixed it.
"Calm down, panic will only make your headache worse."
"What headach-"
A sudden sharp pain had filled his head. The pain forced his muscles to retract and hold his head while he held back the urge to scream in agonyBut just because he wasn't screaming on the outside, doesn't mean he wasn't screaming on the inside.AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOH GOD WHYJESUS HOW HARD DID I HIT MY HEAD?!WAIT WHO SPOKEQuickly turning to look at where the voice was coming from, he noticed a tiny cat standing next to an unconscious human. The man looked like he had been through a lot, but what was more surprising was the fact that the cat had...spoken.He looked at the cat with a face that only struck everything with a solemn expression. So much so that it had taken his mind off the headache, causing it's pain to numb for a little while.
"I'm sorry...was...was that you who spoke?"
"You've got a problem with that?"
"...surprisingly no"
"Good, now shut up and listen, because what I'm about to say next is probably going to save you some reading in the future."
