Chapter 10: The Start of The End

When Glitch woke up, he saw that the corruption had snuck up on him during his sleep, so he did another attempt to cure himself with the lightning shackles.He sighed as the tiny blades pierced his body and injected the light into his very being, giving him the time to ponder on if the overload would really work.

"Morning sunshine!"

Spidey descended from the ceiling and jumpscared Glitch yet again, but the fear turned into shock when he realized who had just scared him.

"Alex?! What are you doing here?! I thought you hightailed it outta here through one of the rifts!"

"Well I did...but the place I ended up in wasn't my own, so I went back here."

"Oh well that sucks, sorry to hear that you couldn't make it home man."

"It's alright, also why are most of the team in the medical wing?"

Glitch sat up and thanked Spidey for reminding him of what he had to do as he snatched his hoodie and blade, rushing out as if there was an exam and he was late to appear for it.Shortly making his way to the medical bay, he charged up his energy and healed up those who were still injured, giving Kevin more energy due to the fact that his wing legitimately got cut off yesterday.After a while, he joined up with Fu Hua and saw the last few who hadn't been cured from the infection.

"Are you sure you want to do this?"

"If I wasn't sure then I would have stopped at Elysia."

She nodded to him as he entered the containment area, looking at the last members before him.He sighed and started to cure the last few, struggling to stand more each time he did.The last one to get cured was Su, since he thought it was polite to endure the pain until everyone else was cured.But as he cured Su, the corruption nearly jolted to his chest, like it feared something that Su had within him.As he looked upon the Flame Chasers before him, a tear fell from his eye.This was something he had fought long and hard to see...Everyone in the Flame Chasers were reunited, together and happy.Hell some members were even added to the FC as a result of his efforts, and this was something he never thought he could achieve.His goal to reunite the Flame Chasers and cure them was now complete...and he felt a weight get lifted off of his shoulder.That day had both Tyler and Glitch become members of the Flame Chasers, with Spidey and Mei joining their ranks.17 of the most powerful warriors within the realm, each being an expert in their own field of power and strategy... It all felt too good to be true.Suddenly a huge wave of honkai energy nailed the Lab, shutting off the lights in the process.The 17 walked outside and saw the horror that had laid waste to their home.It was surrounded in cables and electronic monitors, with a giant red eye staring straight into Glitch's very soul.Behind the mountain, 2 giant mechs stood with upgraded armor and weaponry.He dashed back inside and grabbed the broken Caliburn that resided on his nightstand.

"I Have seen your stories, given you your perfect lifes, and this is how you repay me?"

"For this...There is only one thing I can provide you with now..."

Glitch's bracer glowed the lights of the 13 FC's, Spidey's chainsaws revved to blinding speeds, thunder surrounded Mei's blade, pink light was casted from Elysia's bow, a cat had taken residence on Pardofelis's head, Gresio's paint splashed on the floor, Khosma's cloak flapped in the wind, Eden's pistols were locked and loaded, Mobius was already typing on her keyboard, Fu Hua's body erupted into flames, Vill-V's turrets spun, A maniacal laughter came from Kalpas, Heavenly light shined down upon Eponia and Tyler, Sakura took a deep breath, and the Judgement of Shamash flared up as Kevin broke through his limits and transformed once again.It was time for the Flame Chaser's last stand...and unlike before...they were united against one foe.
