The first day

Hii! I know the beginning is really long and dragged out but I was just having fun writing it I hope you enjoy! Also I mainly write these whenever im in the mood but lmk if you guys like these so I can post faster!!!!

"Good luck honey" your smiling mom said in a supportive tone. You nod and give a fake smile on your way out of the door. You start walking to school trying to get used to wearing a uniform, it's more comfortable than you thought although you've been told that purple isn't your color. It was terrifying thinking about the fact that you were starting out your 3rd year of high school as the foreign "exchange student", not knowing anyone, having no idea what to expect, basically going in blind.

On the way to school you saw a convenient store and remembered the money your mom gave you to settle in your first day which was more than enough for the first week, let alone the first day. You looked at the time "7:34" you thought to yourself "plenty of time" you said with a small grain on you face. As the automatic doors opened your face lit up, you sped over to the snack aisle while licking your lips. Your mom is Japanese, so while living in America your mom always made sure to pick up snacks for you and your siblings when she went out. You grabbed a basket and started throwing all the snacks in your cart, the total ended up coming out to 2,835.58¥(20 dollars USD). As you were walking out of the store you look down at your watch "7:53?! God damnit" you said while shoving the tremendous amount of snacks in your bag. " Okay y/n you got this you've got 7 minutes or you're late, schools just around" you said as you started sprinting holding on to your bag.

You finally got into school at exactly 7:59, you rush to the bathroom and fix your messy hair from the run, take a deep breath and begin to walk to class. As you walk into your first period class room everyone turns at looks at you. The teacher turns towards you "Ah you must be y/n" you nod looking down avoiding the crowd of eyes looking at you. "Class this is l/n f/n she is a transfer student, please treat her well" you bow at you teacher and take an empty seat in the back of the classroom. You start to unpack your backpack and when you look up you see two girls, one fully turned around in her seat with a very intense look of curiosity in her eyes with a slight smile and the other one just looking back with a straight face. They seemed nice enough to befriend so you said "Um hello". "Hi! I'm Nakamura Mei so please call me Mei or whatever I don't mind!" the more enthusiastic one said. "Watanabe Hana". The other girl said sternly. "I'm l/n f/n of course you probably already know that given the circumstances". "Hey! Where did you transfer from? Like in the world", "hey Mei you just met her be more polite, I apologize for my ignorant friend". "Oh no it okay i'd rather you drop the formality's, i'm from the US by the way, I really appreciate you guys talking to me" you said laughing it off awkwardly. "Do you play any sports?" Mei asked with a wide grin on her face. "I've played soccer since I was 3", Mei's face lit up "woah that's a big commitment". "Yeah, oh! I forgot" you said as he started dumping all of the snacks out of your backpack, their jaws on the floor "woah woah wait for lunch Sensei with kill you if he sees you eating in class, so beware" Hana said as you started shoving them back into your bag.
*bell rings*
"Ugh" Mei said after her breath as the teacher called everyone's attention and class began.

After 3 more painful classes, which were actually okay, but just introducing yourself was not. Mei and Hana came in my classroom and dragged me to the lunch room with my backpack of course. We grabbed trays and sat down at an empty table in front of a group of boys. Mei let out a sigh, "what's up with her?" I asked Hana. "She's checking out the "volleyball" boys" Hana said in a very unenthusiastic tone annunciating volleyball. "I don't care what you say they're hot just look at them, look y/n!" You looked behind you at the table of boys staring pretty intensely. Still staring you said "I mean I've seen hotte-" but then got cut off by one of the boys noticing your eyes wondering and you locked eyes with you. You whipped your head around so fast, hearing the boys behind you starting to snicker. "Oh shit I was hardcore staring and I made eye contact with one of them" you said, as your head was buried in the circular table. "And I'm pretty sure they're laughing, that's to embarrassing!!!", "calm down its probably just a misunderstanding, which one did you lock eyes with?" "The only with the green hair and I think the one with the red hair noticed after!" "It's okay they probably aren't even laughing about it" Hana and Mei reassured me. "I'm going to go back to class I have English next and I need to mentally prepare myself, bye" "okay" Mei said with a kind of concerned tone "bye" Hana said unbothered per usual.

Your first day was coming to a close and it was definitely an experience you didn't know what to think of it yet. You still had one more class left math which is definitely not your strong suit and when you walked in there was only one seat left in the very back row second to last seat and you sat down looking to your left and you see a tall, green haired boy in the seat next to you. And sitting in front of him was the red haired one "oh a new girl, wait your the one from lunch!" The red haired one said with a grin on his face and the other one just silently studying you with a straight face. "Oh yes I'm sorry and I'm the new transfer student! My name is l/n f/n I'm sorry for this to be our first interaction I hope you don't think anything of me! I have snacks in my bag if you'll acc-"the red haired one cut you off
"woah woah woah slow down its nice to meet you I'm Tendō and this is Ushijima" Ushijima nodded as Tendō introduced him. "And you're new so it's okay to stare but next time just come over and say hi we don't bite I promise" he said that with a smile forming. "Okay I will next time! Thank you for being understanding", "no problem". "I do have one question though" you said
Firmly, "shoot" Tendō said raising one eyebrow out of curiosity. "Um I know this is random but do you happen to know if the girls soccer team is still excepting members if there is a girls team?" "I don't know, Ushy?" Ushijima looked over at Tendō than at me "no I don't think they are accepting now members. They're a pretty solid team" he said calmly. "Oh okay" you said looking to the ground, "do you like volleyball ball?" Tendō asked me. "I think it's fun, I've never played compatibly but I know all the rules because one of my brothers plays" you said wondering why volleyball? "Hear that Ushy?", "yes Tendō" "y/n hear me out..... YOU SHOULD BE THE BOYS MANGER FOR VOLLEYBALL!"
"Um I don't know about that", "why??" Tendō said in a pouty voice. "Well for starters I don't know anyone on the team and I've never watched y'all practice!" Tendō was still pouting, "please just come and watch one of our practices?" Tendō said putting his hands together and begging. "Ugh fine I'll go tomorrow after school right?" Tendō just smiled and nodded, and you noticed that Ushijima had a very slight smile on his face too.
