"did you have any plans for your future before you left for your surgery?" hisano asked, the loud sipping noise from her banana milk was enough to turn his head.

"mm... i definitely thought about it." he responded, his eyes still glued to her drink. his grip on the chained handles loosened from the swings.

"what were they?"

he finally looked away, slightly leaning his head back as he tried to remember.

"well, i knew that if i were to have a future... i for sure wouldn't look forward to going to a college or university." he explained, "so i guess i told myself that i'd be working right away if i were to graduate."

she stopped sipping from the straw of her drink to turn and look at him, "hm? so that'd mean you'd be in the different school building." she tilted her head, confused.

he chuckled, looking back at her. "yeah, but the time i spent at my grandma's, with the schooling and all, i thought that i'd much rather prefer going wherever you went for school." he said with a smile on his face, "now that i think of it, i don't know what went through my head. we'd spend less time together that way."

hisano shook her head, denying his statement. "i don't think it was wrong of you to want that." she says, "i think you grew a lot, jungwon."

now it was his turn to tilt his head, "huh? how so?"

she smiled, looking down at her dangling feet, "before, you didn't even think that you'd make it far enough to graduate, but now, you've been thinking of what a future would be like with you and i." she explained.

he never thought of it like that. she was right.

he never even thought he'd make it to his third year, yet, here he is. sitting on a swing next to the person who saved him many times, and the person that would save him many more times.

hisano. the person who had taught him what it means to live, what living really feels like, and how to cherish life.

someone he'd want to spend his every coming day with.

a memory had crossed his mind, widening his eyes. "hisa..." he stood up, going behind her.

she looked back, wondering what he was doing. suddenly, he had pulled the swing back by its two chains, gently pushing the girl.

"woah!" she yelped, holding onto the swing tighter.

the higher she went, the more trouble she'd have hearing him.

"i have a plan." he said in a raised voice, "starting from now!"

she was busy laughing because of how fast the swing was going, "what is it?" she yelled back.

"when the time comes," he paused, grunting as he pushed her once more, "we'll have our own garden shop!" he said in a quite determined tone.

hisano didn't quite catch what he had said, "a what??"

before she came back down from the push of the swing, he readied his hands behind her back to slow her down, but instead they ended up at her waist since it was more secure that way.

once she was finally at a stop, he stepped closer behind her, not removing his hands from her sides.

he leaned his head forward, just hovering above her shoulder which sent tingles down her spine. she could practically feel his airy breath blow onto her skin, even more so since he was tired from pushing her.

he angled his head so that his lips were in front of her ear, "a garden shop." he said quietly before quickly backing away and returning to his swing.

the girl was a blushing mess, bringing a hand up to feel the side of her face. the warmth was incomparable from the warmth that was coming from him.

"oh..." she barely uttered, too busy thinking about what he just did.

though, it stayed in her mind. it wasn't like she just threw his idea out the window and forgot about it.

he said it with so much meaning. how could she just throw it aside?

and so, she built up her words and finally thought of a response.

"i can't wait." she smiled.
