     "i'll step in first."

jungwon watched as she put her right foot first, then her second. she settled down at one end, leaving room for him to get in and sit on the other.

she had his hand in hers the whole time. the water was just below hisano's shoulders. it felt liked a bed, except you were physically merged into it. jungwon's broad shoulders kept catching hisano's attention.

the bath was warm. it felt nice looking at all the soap suds. it especially felt nice looking at the other.

she had her legs out long and reaching to touch his while he brought his knees up to his chest. they looked like two hills popping up above the water.

his cheeks were rosy.

a grin was formed across her lips.

both of their faces were fully exposed.

what more could they ask for?

"why aren't you looking at me?" hisano asked the boy who had his head down low. "what are you thinking about?" she added quickly after, not giving him time to answer the first one.

he hesitantly lifted his head, putting a small smile across his face to assure her that everything was okay. "n..nothing. i'm happy."

she went closer to him, putting both hands on his knees to look at him at a small distance. he was surprised, moving his head back a little. "what?" he'd ask in confusion with a flustered face.

"i want to bite your nose." she grinned, obviously joking, but jungwon couldn't tell.

his eyes were so wide, almost as if he saw a ghost. he then playfully splashed her face with water, causing her to move back. "you're so weird."

they both started laughing together before silence decided to come for another visit. hisano backed up into her original spot.

hisano looked at him hesitantly. she would take short glances because she was nervous too. he was so flushed, it had her wondering if he was the one who was drunk out of the two. the girl went close again, sniffing the area near his neck.

"did you drink while i was gone?" she asked, breaking the silence.

jungwon looked up at her before turning his head to the side. he hugged his knees again. "maybe."

hisano chuckled, finding his expression adorable. "alone...?"

he nodded, a frown forming on his lips. "obviously..!" he then turned to look back at hisano as his expression softened, "i don't like being worried... especially about you. i want to be sure."

he takes a deep breath before drawing circles on his knee like a kid. "i wanna be sure that nothing's wrong between us." he murmured.

she nodded slowly, showing her understanding. he still couldn't maintain eye contact, but his hand reached out to hold hers gently. he rubbed her hand with his thumb in circular motions under the water. "if we're gonna worry, i want to worry together..." he paused, "i hate assuming the worst of your thoughts... and i hate running away from them before i could even listen. i'm sorry."

as much as he stayed in-denial and dismissive of possible problems, he never wanted to man up and admit it. he knew in his head that things weren't gonna fix itself and that he'd have to face them eventually, but he just couldn't... too afraid of the odd chance that they'd split.

ever since he met her, he felt like she could see right through him without having to say anything. he got so used to that, he never really knew how to properly explain himself with words.
