here she found herself sitting at one of the booths to a diner that served one of the best milkshakes.every time the bells attached to the door would ring, she's catch herself looking at it in hopes of it being the person she was waiting for.
soon enough, he arrived after a couple sips and sighs. he rushed to the table she was at and placed his bags down before greeting her.
"sorry i'm late." he apologizes, in which she just shakes her head while swirling the straw around her drink.
"it's fine."
he was a bit out of breath, so he spent a few minutes getting relaxed and comfortable. while doing that, she continued swirling her straw around her unfinished drink. eyes practically glued to it.
the boredom was showing in her body language. with one hand propped up to lean her chin on, and her occasionally taking sips from the milkshake.
he was feeling sort of anxious since she's been acting like this for some time now, yet he decided to put it aside because he thought it was probably not a big deal.
but right now, he was quite scared of what would happen. the silence was eating him up inside and so he asked the first question that came to his head.
"you ordered already?"
obviously, you dimwit.
"mhm." she nodded, looking up at him with only her eyes before looking back at her drink.
"i'll order too." he smiled awkwardly before taking the small menu into his hands, staring intently at the items on it.
once he ordered, he got comfortable in his seat again as he stared at her, hands clasped together as he thought of what to say.
"so... you alright?" he asked nervously, in which she just nodded.
he continued to keep the one-sided convo going, hoping the other would soon join in.
"thank you for the gift, by the way." he smiled, "seriously, i almost cried in the library after reading the note." he chuckled. his attempts at changing the feel of this atmosphere had failed every time as he would only receive one expression from the girl.
she sighed and looked back at him, "you're welcome."
"you still upset at me?" he asked, the tone in his voice getting quieter.
"yeah."
"what can i do for you to forgive me?"
"i forgive you." she quickly murmured.
he looked down at the table as he thought of something to ask, looking back up at her when he was ready. it was getting to the point where his patience was being tested. "be honest, hisano. why'd you bring me here?"
she scoffed, "do i need a reason?"
her lower lip couldn't keep from pouting, so she hid it by taking another sip of her drink.
luckily for her, the waitress had just come back with jungwon's milkshake. he thanked her with a small head bow.
hisano watched him carefully as he unwrapped the paper from the plastic straw, tossing the straw into his drink before he took a glance at hisano.
