"I am sorry?" I said I didn't know how to reply. "Everything happened so quickly I didn't even notice that the blade tore the skin of my neck."

Orion huffed and turned away from me like a 5 year old kid, as the Duke begged me through his eyes to do something to Orion's sulking mood. Good god, give me strength. I signalled Veri to come to me. Whispering something in her ears, she nodded as soon she understood me.

Grabbing a small piece of paper from the study table and a quill and ink, she walked back to me and placed everything in front of me. Taking the quill, I scribbled down 'I am sorry' in their language. If I wrote it in english they would probably look at me like I have finally lost the last piece of memory. But thanks to Evanora's habits, skills, and knowledgeable memories come great help in time like this.

As soon as I took the piece of paper in my hands I whispered "Scoretus." The paper folded in self into an origami butterfly and started flying towards Orion. Orion jumped as soon as the butterfly sat on his nose. He grabbed it by his hands, the paper unfolded itself, making the text visible to his eyes.

Mumbling and grumbling Orion folded the paper neatly and slipped it into his pocket as he walked out of the room.

"Do you think it worked, dad?" I asked as I watched Orion leave.

"It did," the duke cracked into a smile as Kaven suppressed himself from not laughing.

"Well, Lady Asterin and Lady Catherine were really worried when you collapsed like that. So we will take our leave now, enjoy your time and rest." The duke smiled at both the ladies and patted them on the head before he left the room with Kaven. Wow, they seem close.

"I am sorry for greeting guests in the bedroom like this," I said as soon as both the Esmerays left the room.

"We don't mind it at all, Lady Evanora. What is most important is your fast recovery." Lady Asterin smiled as both of them sat down on the chairs placed beside my bed.

"You are very kind, Lady Asterin." I smiled at them.

"We were really shocked when Lady Evanora lost consciousness. Well, the doctor said it was because of the dirty rusted sword that infected you. But gladly it was nothing too serious." Lady Asterin explained the situation as I smiled warmly at them.

"Oh, Sir Orion also explained the situation of your amnesia." Lady Catherine added as I nodded my head.

"Did the doctor check your condition as well? You must get yourself checked-" I was cut off by lady Asterin who replied warmly to my worry.

"We did, Duke Esmeray wouldn't let us off unless we let the doctor check if we are fine." Lady Asterin giggled as both me and Lady Catherine let out a smile. After a moment of silence passed us, Lady Catherine broke the ice.

"Honestly, when we saw you at the annual royal ball and banquets it always seemed like Lady Evanora was so hard to approach. As cold as ice, and mysterious as the night sky. But when lady Evanora approached us with a warm smile, it felt like the cold winter melted away." Lady Catherine spoke politely, fidgeting with her finger on her lap.
