One of the peaks of living in an empty castle is that you would easily hear the clicks of angry heels storming down the hallways. I watched the candle lights flicker as my aide sat in my study nervously while I waited for the storm to break loose.
No wonder people name storms after women.
The door of my study slammed open, which I like to believe was done by magic. And I was correct as Lady Evanora Esmeray walked in clutching the mine transfer papers in one hand and a glowing spell circle in the other. There was a slight glow on her eyes that I didn't see before, I wonder if it's because she is doing magic.
The black and grey mermaid tail dress with a sweetheart neckline and fluffy sleeves seems to be glittering around her. Her hair was pinned up and she was wearing a black pillbox hat with a veil.
The only way to describe her right now would be,
Someone's fantasy or someone's nightmare.
And judging her anger, she might become my nightmare.
"What is the meaning of this!" She yelled as my aide seemed like he lost three of his lives out of nine. I couldn't help but laugh.
She stared at me completely baffled as if she wasn't expecting me to laugh.
"Sir Declan, leave us." I said as my aide got up and bowed to me and to Lady Esmeray before he left like Lady Esmeray eyed him as if he was an alien.
After Sir Declan walked out, Lady Esmeray dropped her spell circle. She was glaring at me and wasn't even attempting to hide it. Unlike last time, she wasn't even bothering this time.
Her heels clicked against the wooden floor as she walked towards the mahogany desk I was sitting behind.
"Honestly, you might be the first noble to storm into the study of a Crown Prince." I say as I lean against my chair.
"Well pardon me because I can't seem to control myself after the stunt you pulled on me." She slammed the transfer papers on my desk in front of me.
"Explain this right now!" She hissed.
"Well I must say Lady Esmeray you are really bold." I said as I took the papers in my hands, and stared up at her fuming expression.
"You do realise that I could get you executed for trespassing royal grounds." I said and she froze...
Don't tell me she didn't think this through before she stormed in here?
"First of all, I have the royal pass from the Empress!" She said as a light shade of pink dusted her cheeks.
"Then we can consider the fact you are trespassing on my palace grounds, not the Empress." I set the papers down. "And as the occupier of this place, I have no liability to a stranger, which makes this trespassing."
