Aurora was having a hard time adjusting to life on earth. She felt like she stood out too much, yet just barely blended in. She felt as if everyone hated that she was there. It wasn't her fault that Sunshine decided to leave. She didn't ask to be summoned. And then there was the fact that she found her mate almost immediately after being summoned. She didn't wanna make it seem like she thought she was better than everyone. In fact, there were days where she thought she didn't belong here.

Aurora was sitting on the grass outside when she saw Cirrus sit next to her, "Hey, you okay?"

"Oh, yeah, I'm fine," Aurora said. Cirrus looked at her and said, "Okay, let's try that without the lie now."

"I-I'm not lying-" Aurora tried, just for Cirrus to say, "You're always alone and I don't think I've seen you smile once outside of band practice since you got here. What's going on?"

"I promise, I'm okay-" Aurora tried again, making Cirrus say, "Do I need Phantom to come talk to you?"

"Why would be want to talk to me?" Aurora asked. Cirrus sighed, "Look, I know you're trying to hide it all, but it's obvious Phantom's your mate. And I know you already know this because you two always smile at each other during band practice. The guy has to be near you."

Aurora stayed silent after that. She didn't think they were being that obvious. Cirrus asked her, "Why are you trying to hide it?"

The small ghoulette sighed, "Because I found him within a week of being summoned. I didn't want to make it seem like I thought I was better than all of you because I found my mate so quick. I didn't want to stand out too much."

"Aurora, no one's going to think of you differently. You found your mate and that's amazing. Phantom's a great guy. But I also know he's not one to like being hidden or to be put on the back burner. I understand why you're doing it, but did you ever think about how he might've felt about all this?" Cirrus asked. Aurora said, "He told me it was fine."

"He always says it's fine. He doesn't want to cause any issues. But deep down it's hurting him. Haven't you noticed how he's starting to back away from everyone now?" Cirrus asked. Phantom had brought up his fears to Cirrus about Aurora stringing him along because she doesn't want to tell anyone yet. Aurora felt bad because she did feel the pull, she did love him, but she was scared. She's only been there for a few weeks and already has a mate, but she doesn't want them to think of her as desperate and kind of a whore.

"You can't judge me," Aurora said while leaning against the door.

"Have you seen our friends?"

Aurora chuckled, nodding her head. "As soon as I arrived and saw Phantom, I knew. I felt the pull right away and I knew that he did too. Phantom confessed to me first and I couldn't be more ecstatic but I got scared. I'm still scared, I'm afraid that people will see me as some kind of whore for getting with the first guy saw. But when you feel the pull that strong, it's hard to ignore."

"So you are mates, that confirms my thoughts. And I get money from the bet. But why are you scared of them judging you? It's none of their business and you are not a whore for getting with Phantom because he's your mate." Cirrus said, taking a few steps toward Aurora.

Aurora ran her hands through her hair, "Because I'm new and they will have every reason to treat me like crap."

"Aurora, if they treat you like crap, tell me or any of us because we will kill anyone who tries to do anything to you or Phantom." Cirrus wrapped her arms around Aurora, bringing her into a sisterly hug. Aurora hugged her back, the weight lifting off of her chest a little bit. Aurora then pulled out of the hug and asked, "You guys had bets on us?"
