"Is something going on with you and JJ again?" June March was laid across the boat, soaking in the sun whilst the others fished. The only other person who wanted to join her in tanning had been Sarah, giving the girls some much needed alone time. They hadn't had hardly any one on one time in weeks.

"What?" June turned her head to look at the Cameron girl, her lip curling up as she tried to wrack her brain for what she had done that would make Sarah say that to her. "Why would you think that?"

"Nothing I just noticed he doesn't have that sad little look on his face when he's looking at you...that's all." June swallowed hard, turning her head back up and reclosing her eyes. She didn't realize how easily they could tell his demeanor changed, and yet she hadn't mentioned anything about a difference in herself. June must've been the better actor...or at least thats what she was supposing.

"No...nothings going on." She cleared up, lying seamlessly through her teeth. She threw her arm over her face and attempted to keep her straight face, knowing that Sarah was watching her and could easily tell if she was lying.

"Well...good." Sarah said,  turning her own face back towards the sun. However her words took a moment to sink into Junes brain, the March girl soon turning her head back to look at the Cameron girl.

"Good? Why good?" June asked, pushing up onto her elbows. The way that Sarah had said it, she had insinuated that things were better off if they weren't happening. And while Sarah was unaware, June was fully aware that things were in fact happening. Sarah opened her eyes for a second and saw the perplexed look on Junes face, the girl letting out a sigh and shaking her head.

"Nothing." June was not going to take nothing as an answer though, Sarah had pointed her in the directions of the doubts she was trying to stave off. Because now it wasn't just her own doubts...it was Sarah's too. And if Sarah had something to say in the way of her relationship, then that meant some of the others probably did too.

"No you already said it... tell me." Sarah let out another sigh at Junes request, realizing she had said too much. She pushed herself onto her own elbows and looked out at the water, hoping she could word it in a way that wouldn't offend June. She knew that JJ and Junes relationship was still a sore subject, and a topic of unwavering discussion amongst the group, due to their will they, won't they approach to it.

"Well it's—I love JJ and everything but you guys sometimes...you just bring out the worst in each other. And I mean...I've known you longer than anyone else here—I've seen you happy. I mean I know when you're happy and when you're not because you were happy with Ra...uh—but ever since—it's just that things are different between you guys. Sometimes things just aren't as great as they seem at first." June listened as Sarah stumbled over her words and blatantly admitted something no one had really been able to say. June blinked a few times as Sarah fueled that doubt she was trying to work through, her head turning away from the Cameron girl as she sat up. June pulled her knees to her chest and then gave Sarah a nod, a small worried smile flashing across her lips. "But it doesn't matter...because you guys aren't back together."
