a year later

"yes, i heard god what's up?"

"you're not a god anymore dino!" seungkwan yelled from the kitchen as dino sat down on the sofa next to vernon who offered him a bowl of chips. "why do you keep forgetting this?"

dino sighed. "force of habit i guess?"

although everything happened a year ago, it was still a challenge to wrap his head around the fact that the tales no longer existed, the storybook holding the fates that once ruled over their lives having been destroyed in that incident.

yet, even though they were finally free, life was still something that ultimately was unfamiliar to them, all of them having been raised into certain roles and now needing to adapt to a life of normalcy.

while some of them moved to get a breather from the stress that seemed to follow them (since after all, they did just wipe everyone's story out whether they liked it or not), when vernon and seungkwan miraculously came back, dino tagged along with them, staying at a three bedroom apartment with the couple, the three of them now wearing matching bracelets wherever they went.

despite them seemingly adapting well to normal life, dino couldn't help but yearn for a bit of adventure rather than having to wait at home as seungkwan attended various shows to talk about why they had done all that to begin with.

although it happened a year ago, no other news even came close to beating it in terms of relevancy, their actions completely changing the reality people knew of. while most people were on their side, that didn't stop the naysayers from hating on them, numerous public forums trying to find ways to either punish them or to bring back that cursed book.

just then, dino's phone buzzed at the same time as vernon's.
