"And every road you take will always lead you home."

Shailene's POV~

"Luna please stop crying, I have to answer the phone." I frown, cradling my baby back and forth.

She is going to be two months soon and has an upset stomach. It didn't help that she didn't want to take a nap an hour ago so now her schedule is messed up. Theo is at a meeting for one of his upcoming projects, busy as always.

"Hello?" I answer the phone, after plugging a pacifier into Luna's mouth and her eyes become droopy. Bed time finally!

"Hello, is this Shailene Woodley?" A female asks.

"This is she, who is this may I ask?" I set Luna down in her swing, letting her rock and fall asleep.

"This is Karen Smith, I heard that you are looking for a girl by the name of Kailie Conely?" She explains, I answer with a yes.

A couple days after visiting some wedding venues, I decided to contact Kailie and find out how she is doing these days. I can not live with this guilt, knowing I did something so horrible to someone.

I believe every human makes mistakes, but if it's fixable then try your best and repair it. This isn't healthy for my body, knowing that I didn't do anything about this situation.

"I found a phone number that may belong to her or I can give you her address. However, you must come to my office to make sure you aren't some random person." She giggles.

"Alright, how about tomorrow?" I smile, finally I can get over this whole mess.

Karen agrees and we set a time for our session. Theo will understand and hopefully can have a break tomorrow. In a couple of days we will be out of town for Allegiant Filming.

For now, I can kick my feet up and relax...

Theo's POV~

"For the thousandth time Ruth, stop calling my phone!" I groan, tired of get calls from her.

"But Theo, my parents want you to come down and visit! They miss you so much ever since we ended our relationship! Maybe we can try again when you're down here." She whispers into the phone, I am going to hang up in two seconds.

"I'm engaged to Shai! I have a child and I'm happy so please stop trying to get in my pants. Your parents aren't even home, they are in Scotland for a golf tournament!" With that, I ended the call and turned my phone on silent.

Only four more minutes and I can drive back home where I'm the happiest I can be. This is beginning to get tiring, it's been quite some time ever reaching this level of fame. Hopefully, when we fly back to Georgia everything will cool down.

I'll have alone time with Shai, I've missed that. Before Luna, we used to have so much time together we didn't know what to do with it! Now with interviews, movie deals, and a baby gets in the way of it.

I was offered a movie deal, a huge one to be exact. I'd be in Europe for two months, just to film some scenes and go to interviews/premieres. I haven't told Shai, I'm not sure if I even want to since I'd be so far away from my two girls.

There's no way I'd bring them out here, Luna is comfortable with our friends in California and that is Shailene's home town. I would never be that selfish just to have them by my side while they have nothing to do.

"Alright, see everyone next week!" Our director bids her goodbyes and it's finally time to go.

I jump into my jeep, start it and check my phone just incase Shai was trying to contact me. Instead of getting a message from my fiancé, I had received one from my soon to be mother in law.

Shai's Mom: Theo, did she tell you?

I'm confused, did who tell me what? Did Shai forget something or is she getting me something? Oh please, don't tell me she's breaking up with me! I quickly drive home and open the front door.

Shailene's POV~

I was able to get an hour and a half nap, while Luna is still sleeping when I wake up. I rub my eyes to see that Theo has finally gotten home.

"Hey babe, I don't what we are going to have for-"

"Are you breaking up with me?" He asks, taking my breath away.

I gasp, "Why would you think that? I love you too much to even think about such a thing! No!"

He takes a deep breath and says, "Okay then what does this mean?"

He extends his arm, showing me a text message on his screen.

My stomach drops to the floor, she knew I wouldn't tell him even if she did give me a couple of weeks. I close my eyes and look up at him, scared to death of what I'm about to say.

Then an idea pops into my head...

Lie.
