Lottie had won at bingo night. She had dominated the night at the community center and came home with three prizes: a bag of chips, a stuffed blue dragon, and two tickets to the Poconos Mountains for a week's vacation.

She walked into her house, locking the door behind her. She went into the kitchen, setting her things on the counter. She grabbed the phone off the counter and dialed a number.

"Hey," Thomas greeted groggily. "You home yet?"

"Yes dear," Lottie said, chuckling. "You sound tired. Where's Nakia?"

"Never thought that they'd send the kid back full of sugar. She's chasing Charlie around."

"Oh dear," Lottie said, snickering.

"I'm just waiting for the sugar crash. How was bingo night?"

"Pretty good, I got something for Nakia."

Thomas smiled. "That's nice. Shit. I have to go, Mama, sorry."

"It's alright dear. Have a good night."

"Night, Lottie-Nakia put the crowbar down!" Lottie smiled, setting the phone down.

She looked over to the window to see she left the blinds open. She walked over to close it and-

She saw something in the distance.

Grimrose was getting bold and cocky. He was sitting in a tree about 30 feet away from his target's house. Thomas had made a mistake by leaving his blinds somewhat open. He could see it all. The kid running around with a crowbar while the men try their best to calmly restrain her.

This was the closest he could get without interfering with his mission. He was so close that he could feel it. His hands wrapped around her neck draining her life away. All the power and control he could ever want.

It would all be his soon enough.

Somehow, he let his eyes slip away from Nakia and glance across the street.

Someone was looking at him. Someone with direct access to his target.

Looking directly at him.

Lottie gasped. She slowly looked down and continued to close her blinds. She made sure her doors and windows were locked before grabbing a knife and her phone and running toward the back of her house.

Shit, shit, shit, shit.

Those were the words that described Grimrose's exact feelings. He had been spotted. He had been spotted by the exact person he was warned to stay away from until further notice.

Now he had to deal with her before their entire operation was compromised.

Nathan crept across the street, towards the house and broke the lock.

He slowly walked into the house searching for the old woman.

Lottie had never been more nervous. She was sitting in a closet holding her breath. She knew the man was out there, and she knew she didn't have much time.
