Till death do us apart

"It's getting late. Why do girls take so much time to get ready?" Yoongi shrugged as he roamed around in boredom. Namjoon hissed in worry, biting off the peeled skin around his nails. His tall build was donned in a sleek black blazer that curved his shape well along with a silver rose brooch on chest. His hair was sealed back in an elaborate style, defining the ever-famous jawline. Jisoo always had been punctual but today hours went by and she was nowhere. Don't make it late on this special day, Soya.

Baekhyun snorted, "Girls always make late to get ready. It's nothing new. When I ask my one to be prepared within an hour, she takes half a day."

"Still call them. Ask where they are," Bang seok frowned, checking his watch. "Thank god we kept it within our circle, no media is coming."

"Media don't have any work than clicking photos and disguising one incident with something gripping. Whether that's good or bad they don't care." Minho rolled his eyeballs.

Namjoon's feet continuously tapped the floor, cold sweat breaking out from his palms. Since this special event was finalized, any trace of rest or calm hadn't settled over. He would pass sleepless nights, frenzying days and seemingly outstretched seconds. The phase they were entering was exciting, at the same time, uneasing. Shouldering another role gave him immense delight whereas the overthinking part of his relucted. Spending the rest of your life with the woman of your dreams was no less joyous than being the king of the world. Yet, that suspicion of keeping her happy tainted the blissful thought.

"Their cars have arrived!" Jungkook, the best man of the groom hollered near the gateway. Namjoon hastily smoothened his coat and hair. Heart racing in both worry and glee. Yoongi jabbed him in the shoulder. "Why so stressed? It's a happy event, right?"

"But I...am just nervous. I don't know. I just can't-" The groom hissed.

"I have been through this. So I know how it feels. But, don't take stress. Treasure the moment, Namjoonie." The elder squeezed his sweaty hand. The gesture of comfort lessened the churning of the nervous groom.

"Hyung, finally you are getting married," Jungkook's face beamed with a broad smile. "I thought I would never have any nephew or niece to play with. Make sure to give me that, bro."

Namjoon let out a sharp exhale and thrust a vexed stare at the younger. The younger whined, "Don't teach me courtesy or anything now, not on this day." A chuckle broke out of Namjoon. He braced his younger and booped his nose.

"All of us should be in position now! The bride would be coming soon down the aisle." Ji eun cried and trotted away with her 6-month-old baby bump. The men scrambled to the main hall and stood in befitted positions. Namjoon in centre, Yoongi beside, then Jungkook. Guests chirped with the four brothers, some addressing the groom and passing wishes.

All of a sudden, everything paused to pin-drop silence. Namjoon was steeled to his spot. Audible treads reaching his way. Afar, a lady in white walked up the path. Her complexion aglow with a sparkling smile, eyes twinkling in the sunlight. Her father accompanied as she crossed the aisle. Namjoon's cheeks flushed in red. Her breathtaking appearance had snatched away his words. The bulk dictionary in his head fell short of words to describe the radiance emanating from her.

She was finally before him, charming like the bouquet in her hold. Tears welled up in his eyelids to live in such a moment. He still refused to acknowledge that this goddess was tying a bond with him! Their paths would be the same. They would share each other's joy, grief, torments, everything. Unconsciously a few drops stepped into his coat. Never he showed anyone his tears but now he cared nothing to wipe them away.
