Namjoon passed that night, reckless. Any trace of sleep hadn't clouded at all. He tilted hither and thither for a better pose to rest but the spins infumed the churning of his stomach at best. Mind constantly regenerated sore recollections. Unworthy, waste, regret of his existence, useless, rowdy, unnotable, this is how the list outstretched.
"YOU THINK YOURSELF DIFFERENT. LOOK!" Miran's ridiculing scowl pierced through his eardrums. "What do you think the whoooole world would worship you if you continue your failures? All of these shit won't do any good to you!! You are gonna suffer in the streets." spatted her disdainingly curved mouth.
Namjoon blew his lungs to molten the strain in his throat. Teeth pushed onto each other until they ached the gums.
"You-you are just as your father! Spoiled brat. Dare to talk back!!" 11 year old Namjoon coiled from the ongoing batters. Every inch of his skin slammed by Miran's hands or legs burned redder. Jungkook wept at the front of the scene, shirt steeped in waterfall of tears. Miran advanced to strike another when instinctively Namjoon's forearm flew resisting the hit. Namjoon heaved a frightened gasp, eyes popping out at his reflex. Miran's scarlet complexion reached the brink of rupture. Shaking with fury, knuckles turned white. A strong slap threw Namjoon aside. The spot afire, weight of the slap mincing several layers of flesh.
Only had his father been decent, perhaps fate would have played fair. But that man bore no concern for his loved ones. He just saw one thing, drugs, gambles and champing Miran should had means weren't given. Life might be anew after they left his father to dwell in Gangam. But yet the effect remained. Miran's ambition to make Namjoon a lawyer aroused. She snatched every step to reach that even if it meant breaking her son's dreams, hopes and mentality. Her yearning for money and reputation had overflowed her conscience. Perhaps for the good she had wanted, still in a faulty way. Now, she got all that alone Namjoon's affection. Jungkook though upon witnessing all the torments, carried ties with her. The younger loved his brother but his mother also. Leaving his only parent hurt him the most as well as losing his brother, his guide.
Morning rays drilled through window. Sky was clean, weather was cheerful. Namjoon sported in formal apparel for office. He speeded downstairs as time ticked nearer. "Hyung, won't you have breakfast?" Jungkook said.
Namjoon inwardly cursed himself for not managing to detour attention. "I will, in office. See you later." He walked off till an allude paused him. Miran muttered, " Wouldn't you have your lunch?"
"I take it in my office." He replied in grim tone and outed.
At the studio,
"Hey! man." Yoongi waved at the inserting one.
"Hi," Namjoon snorted.
" Sad today. What happened?" Yoongi walked along.
"I am always like this. What's so sad of me?"
"Nah, just kidding." Yoongi gave a smile. " How is Kookie doing?"
Namjoon unleashed protruded sigh. "Recovering."
"Let's get ready then."
