Gladius POV

As soon as the hotel room door closed behind me, I let out an annoyed sigh. Why was I having to work with these sorts of people? I knew the answer, but it didn't mean I was pleased about it. Completing this task for DIO could perhaps provide one answer that had lingered in my mind, the cryptic entry in my ancestor's diary. The money was an added bonus.

After composing myself, I left the room behind, making sure to lock it behind me, pocketing the key. It didn't take me long to come up with my plan should the Joestar group show up. First off, I needed a change in attire.

Returning to the reception area, I saw the woman who booked me the room earlier still there. She wouldn't fit my purpose, instead. I had to find a more suitable candidate to take their uniform.

And find them I did, after only a minute or two, I stumbled upon a male employee sweeping the floors. I didn't waste any time, I swiftly rushed forward before the employee could notice me and struck him on the back of the neck, knocking him out in an instant.

Of course I didn't kill him. I HATED senseless murder. In fact, I hated assassination jobs as well, if it wasn't for the mysterious nature of this job and my client, I'd have turned it down in a heartbeat.

With the employee out cold, I dragged them to the nearest toilets, making sure to avoid anyone along the way. Once inside, I didn't completely change my outfit, I just put the hotel attire over my traditional outfit and left the man in the toilet. Muttering quietly to myself "Thank you for your help."

The first stage of my plan was successful. Now from here it was a gamble. Would the Joestar group arrive here as per Devo's prediction? He seemed pretty confident about it. However only time would tell.

Regardless, I made my way back to the front desk and it seemed I was blessed as I saw the receptionist from earlier packing up her stuff and walking out of the door. I quickly assumed the spot in her stead and begun my wait.

Time to see if the mouse would finally come into the cat's paws...

Timeskip...

One hour, two hours, maybe even three. It took time, patience and possibly luck considering only one member of the hotel's staff came to take over the desk and upon seeing me there, just left. Obviously thinking I'd taken the shift.

And yet, in the end, it all paid off. As the door to the hotel opened, a series of figures entered and my heart nearly stopped for a moment as I recognized four of the six immediately. As the entourage stepped forward, the old man whom I believed to be Joseph Joestar, spoke.

"Ehh... we'd like to book rooms?" I nodded, glad the disguise was working as I answered "Of course. Let me have a look at what we have available." I'm so glad that in my time waiting, I'd grown familiar with the software here so I was able to check no problem, I'd also erased my booking from earlier as well, leaving 912 available once more.
