Enya POV
I couldn't believe it, tears flooded down my cheeks as I knelt down pounding my fists on the floor. How could this have happened?! "My eight assassins have all been defeated! The shame, I cannot bear to face Lord DIO!"
Strength, Devil, Temperance, Ace of Swords, Emperor, Empress, Wheel of Fortune and even my son's Hanged Man! How were they all taken out so easily?! A number of emotions flashed through my mind eventually though it was rage that took over! "CURSES! THAT DESPICABLE POLNAREFF! KAKYOIN! CURSE JOTARO AND HIS WRETCHED GRANDFATHER!" I screamed before leaping to my feet, running out of the room, I declared.
"I, ENYA WILL BE YOUR NEXT AND FINAL OPPONENT! I WILL FIGHT WITH MY OWN STAND, THE STAND OF JUSTICE!"
Gladius POV
Burying Nena had given the Joestar group time to get ahead on their travels. So time was definitely of the essence now. I had a vague idea of where they'd be heading. And I'm fairly certain they'd try and travel through Pakistan next.
Purchasing a map, I was also able to find what seemed to be the fastest route there. It was safe to assume the Joestar group would also want to take that route as well. So before I knew it, I was back on the road once again.
I drove for a while, briefly refuelling at a rest stop before setting off again. As I drove though, I took a moment to think about all that had transpired since accepting DIO's contract. Two things that I thought about particularly were the deaths of Muhammad Avdol and Nena.
Avdol was my adversary, however a part of me felt bad for his death. He'd not even had a chance to defend himself from J.Geil's trap. As for Nena, I'd had no interest in her. However her death made the severity and reality of the situation kick in. I realized now that my own death was only one wrong move away.
My train of thought was eventually broken when I came across something that made me stop the car and get out. Approaching the strange encounter, I just narrowed my eyes and asked "What are you doing?!"
A man with strange body proportions was chained to a rock, a chain linked over his mouth, preventing him from speaking as he gagged at me loudly. Next to him was a sign that I began reading.
'I am a monk in the midst of spiritual training. Please respect my ascetic practice by not undoing my restraints'.
After reading, I turned to the man and said "Fancy, well, then. Just nod your head yes or no if you know the answer." I held up the picture of the Joestar group minus Polnareff as I asked. "Have you seen these people at all? Again, just nod for yes and shake your head for no."
The man began frantically shrieking however the chain in his mouth prevented him from saying anything. I said "I'm sorry, but I need to know where they went, can I move this chain for a second?" The man began nodding frantically at this. I said "Thank you." As soon as the chain wasn't covering his mouth, he began screaming at me.
"You've gotta help me! The people in that photo are insane! They left me like this for their sadistic amusement, you've gotta let me down!" I just stared at him for a moment, before summoning my Stand and using a knife to cut all the chains in one flawless motion.
The man collapsed to the ground, catching his breath. As he asked "Thanks man, you're a Stand user?" I nodded, saying "Indeed, and I assume so are you?" The man was frantically catching his breath. "The name's ZZ." To that I introduced "Gladius."
