Raymond (Gladius) POV
All we'd managed to accomplish by defeating D'Arby was ruling out another Stand user. He was in no state at all to be able to give us the information on DIO's Stand or his location. We were no step closer to our goal.
Either way, we ventured out into Cairo once again to search. Even joining up with Gyalzen again. And from there, we could do little more than wander and ask passers by if they knew anything about the mansion's location.
As we did though, Polnareff turned to me, asking. "So, you sure you don't know where DIO is located?" I shook my head. "No, I just know he relocated shortly after I departed for Aswan. I guess he didn't trust me with the location of his new hideout. I'm as lost as you lot are."
Polnareff just huffed in response before going right back in. "And that fight with D'Arby. What happened? Jotaro made it sound like you traumatised the guy. Was it that easy?"
To that I answered "Not easy in the slightest. D'Arby was perhaps one of the most dangerous Stand users we've encountered thus far. The only reason I was able to win is because I knew how he reacted to things, I knew his Stand. And knew what route to take when I'd grasped his angle."
Polnareff looked impressed "Whoa, so do you know all of DIO's allies' Stands? That'll make this so much easier!" I sighed "I wish that were so." He looked confused now as he asked "What do you mean?"
I explained "I don't know DIO's Stand. But there are also three more, three servants that work directly under DIO. I've met them yet I have know idea of their abilities. It may be interesting to know that one of them is actually D'Arby's younger brother."
This not only shocked Polnareff, but caught the attention of the others as well. Avdol exclaimed "What?!" Jotaro added "So that guy had a brother?" I nodded.
"Yes, Terence D'Arby is his name. Pretentious asshole really. But I've never seen his Stand, I have no idea what it does. So no tips or plan. I just have the name. Atum. The final Egyptian God." I'd already told them about Horus on the way to Cairo, so I didn't mention it here.
I did however list the others. "The second is Kenny G, strange man, kind of pathetic. But again, I've never seen his Stand. And DIO kept him around for some reason, I suppose we'll learn what that is." Gyalzen now asked "And the third? You said there were three."
At this I gave a shiver. "Vanilla Ice. Quiet, but intimidating. And fiercely loyal to DIO." Truth be told, Vanilla Ice scared me almost as much as DIO himself. He was in the shadows on the night I first got my assignment. I'd only seen him in person the same night I met the Egyptian Gods.
Gyalzen pushed "And you're certain you know nothing?" I replied "Absolutely. I tipped you off on what I knew about Osiris and Horus. Those three I just mentioned are just as mysterious to me as they are to you. I know their faces, not their abilities."
With that, the conversation ended and we kept walking. I took a moment though, trailing behind and placing my hand on my forehead. Letting out a sigh, I muttered "Damn Raymond, what have you gotten yourself into?"
One moment I was doing a simple job, next thing I'd been roped into going to kill the Vampire that hired me to begin with. So much happened in the last fifty days. What would come next?
"Psst!"
I looked up confused for a moment. What was that? "Psst! Gladius, over here!" Finding the source of the voice, I turned to see someone duck behind a building just in time. I did however notice a very distinct hat which caused me to sigh and roll my eyes. I knew who it was and frankly, I wasn't in the mood to deal with him right now.
