Megan POV
My head was throbbing with yesterday's ordeal.
Breaking up with Trey..I didn't know it would take such a chunk out of my existence. I felt broken in half, defeated. Besides Trey being my first serious relationship, there was no reason why breaking up with an asshole like him should hurt.
But it did, coming home didn't feel like I was coming home to OUR home, it felt like I was coming to his home. I felt like an unwelcome guest, roaming about this oversized mansion. The guest room had become all too familiar to me, I had forgotten how his room looked.
I had grown reluctantly comfortable with it, the guest room was my personal peace.
Getting up from the bed, I slid the covers off of me before getting up and heading to the bathroom. Turning the shower on, I placed some comfortable clothes out on the counter before getting in and washing up.
Climbing out, I dried up and dressed myself, taking care of my hygiene before leaving the bathroom and the room. Opening the door, I peered my head out first, looking both ways to avoid Trey Davidson.
Once the coast was made clear, I crept to the stairs clutching the handle bars as his office doors open. A young woman stepped out as I froze, feeling a gut punch as they smiled at each other adoringly.
Stavia: I really appreciate it Trey." she smiled as he nodded.
Trey: my pleasure, I'll keep in touch." he said,
Stavia: please do and don't forget the other thing I said.." she hinted as she rubbed his arm. He bit his lip casually, making my blood boil as she turned to me.
Stavia: Oh hey, Megan." she smirked walking off. I glared at her as she softly walked past me.
His scent on her body brushed my nose as I felt my palms sweating. Glaring at him, he folded his arms as she was let out the front door.
Trey: What?" he teased. Shaking my head, I walked down the steps as he followed.
Me: Pathetic." I loathed as he laughed behind me.
Trey: how?" he taunted. I ignored his question as he followed me to the kitchen.
Nina proudly stood as she laid out breakfast food on the counter. The smell of her food made my stomach urne, but I wasn't going to eat it. I was not going to be subdued.
Nina: Ms. Kingsely, I made you your favorite." she said as I turned to her.
Me: No thanks, I am not hungry." I said. She nodded sadly as I felt bad, turning to Trey as he happily grabbed a plate.
Trey: thank you Nina, next time don't make her shit." he shrugged as he bit into his french toast.
Turning to him, he smirked that ugly smirk again as I eyed his plate. Slapping it out of his hand, his smile faded as the glass and the food shattered on the ground.
Me: Oops." I smirked this time as he glared. Stepping over the glass, I brushed past him and made my way back upstairs.
Reaching the top of the stairs, I felt a weight like real gold lay on my shoulders. This undenying dislike or hatred I had for him made me feel sick. I was never the person to have these irate thoughts about somebody.
Like I wanted to kiss him, I wanted to be under his embrace and at the same time I wanted to bash his head. I wanted to stick my acrylic nails into his eyeballs and poke them out. I wanted to smack that stupid grin on his face he got every time he annoyed me.
How could that be? Going from falling for someone and then hating them within a matter of days. Days!
Just days before our derail we were fine, back in my city and it was like everything in the world was aligned.
