Anthony POV
I waited patiently as the sound of a busy police station irked me.
Cops swarmed the station, side eyeing me as I waited to meet with Detective Jordan. It had been a few days since we talked. I haven't heard anything from him about the investigation on Trey and I was starting to get annoyed.
A young lady walked past me, eyeing me before completely stopping.
??: Are you looking to meet with someone sir?" she asked kindly.
Me: Detective Jordan." I nodded.
??: Okay give me one moment." she smiled. I smiled back as she disappeared towards his office.
I could see her cutting through a few staff, walking into his office as he looked up at her. He shared a lustful eye for her before frowning and glaring over at me.
Smirking at him, he gritted his teeth before looking back at her. A few words left his lips before she turned and came back to the front.
??: He said you can come back." she said.
Me: thank you beautiful." I winked. She blushed softly, walking away from me as I made my way to the back. Appearing at his door, the unwelcoming stare he was giving made me smile.
Det. Jordan: How can I help you Anthony?" he asked annoyed.
Me: I came to see what you had on your investigation." I shrugged as he scoffed a laugh.
Det. Jordan: is that so?"
Me: Yeah, haven't heard from you in a minute and I wanted to make sure you were staying on top of things." I entitled.
Det. Jordan: You thought you could just walk up here and get that information?" he laughed as I smirked.
Me: I mean yeah, since you asked me to help you I think I have a right to know." I said.
Det. Jordan: Your level of entitlement is outrageous." he chuckled.
Det. Jordan: You can't just come up here and demand information from me. That is not how this works." he continued as I folded my arms.
Det. Jordan: I come to you and demand information, don't forget that." he said sitting back. Hanging my head, I laughed to myself as I stood firm in front of his doorway.
Me: Do I need to remind you about how you got that information?" I asked as his slick smile faded.
Me: If it wasn't for what I gave you, you would not have the information you do now." I said as he glared.
His silence only made this little game of cat and mouse funnier as I stepped further into his office.
Me: I could have given that information to another detective in this place, say Morales?" I pushed as he gritted his teeth.
Me: I heard you and him are running for the same promotion and a little birdie told me that this case against Trey Davidson is riding highly on that." I called out.
The look on his face was priceless as he tried to figure out how I knew that. Folding his arms tight, I sighed deeply as he tried to stand his ground against me. Standing to my feet, I turned for the door.
Me: Well I guess Det. Morales can hear the information I gave you-."
Det. Jordan: No!" he spat as I turned back around. Glaring at me, he growled to himself before he unfolded his tight arms.
Det. Jordan:..close the door." he mumbled.
Gloating, I closed the door and took a seat. I watched as he unlocked a drawer on his desk. He pulled out a heavy folder, sliding it across his desk to me as he closed it.
