Selina POV

It's been a few weeks since our victory party, our clan more carefree than ever since SIMP's downfall. Gaia has just about managed to forgive Sigfrid and Klaus for making her drunk. She was very unhappy, eventhough her clan children started saying she's become cooler after getting drunk and dancing with the youngsters until dawn.

Soleil and I have remained as close as ever, our nights and days spent together strengthening our bond even more. I chuckle at the memory of Soleil waking up the morning after the party and shreiking when she saw her body was covered in hickeys. She also had trouble walking for quite some time. I'd have teased her about it today again, if today weren't the day of Munin's trial.

I feel Soleil's hand clutch mine even stronger and I squeeze her hand comfortingly. "It's going to be alright, love," I say softly and peck her head to calm her down. "I-I know. But what if he doesn't get punished? What if he wants revenge?" She closes her eyes and whispers: "What if he tries to force me to do something to you again?"

I take hold of her chin and gently turn her head so she is looking at my eyes. "He won't. Munin is charged with high treason against vampire kind. There's no way he can get out of this. Right, Gaia?" Gaia looks up from the book she's reading and turns around. "Huh? Oh yes, yes of course. There's no way he's getting out of this. The list of charges goes on and on and we can prove all of them. Don't worry Soleil, he's finished."

"And if he tries to do something to you he's a skewer," I growl quietly. Soleil blushes slightly at this, finally relaxes and lays her head on my shoulder. "No need to get agressive," she mumbles. I chuckle and whisper in her ear, so that Gaia and Klaus can't hear me: "I'm pretty sure you were saying just the opposite last night, ma Soleil. And all of the nights before." She jumps up from my shoulder, blushing madly and screams: "Selina!"

Gaia turns around worriedly, but rolls her eyes and turns away again when she notices Soleil blushing. I chuckle and pull my girlfriend to my side, hugging her over the shoulder. She hides her face in my hair, embarassed. Cute.

"By the way, mom. Where are we even going?" I ask Gaia teasingly. She turns around and looks at me with a murderous gaze. "For the thousandth time: I. Am. Not. A. Mom." "Sure," I laugh. "Seriously though. Where is the vampire supreme court?"

Klaus answers me because Gaia is still sulking: "We're almost there. It's in the cave where old tribes used to hold trials." Soleil says with interest: "That actually sounds cool." I look at Klaus and tell him to continue, because I know it will distract Soleil.

"Well, the benches on which we'll be sitting during the trial have already been carved in the stone by those tribes. And there's a narrow shaft with water on the bottom and really slippery walls. It's impossible to climb, so they used it for death penalties." Klaus continues with stories about that cave and some big vampire trials that were held there, doing a good job at distracting Soleil until we arrive.

Klaus stops the car and we exit. Gaia says: "Now we'll have to run. Selina, carry Soleil please." We look at each other and Soleil smiles at me shyly. She takes a step towards my back but I'm faster and already pick her up bridal style. She yelps and I chuckle. "You alright?" She nods, blushing. "Don't worry dear, I got you," I say and speed off, holding her close.

As we arrive to the cave we see lots of important vampires from all over the world, as Gaia told us beforehand. They are here as witnesses and to partake in the trial. But they aren't the vampires who will decide Munin's final fate. Suddenly everyone becomes quiet. "That's her," Gaia whispers.

I turn around, Soleil still safely in my arms. A tall lady with wine red hair and purple-glowing eyes appears, seemingly from nowhere. She's wearing a beautiful purple silk dress with a wide, golden belt. In her hand she's carrying a golden scale and a sword is hanging from her belt. "She looks like a goddess of justice," Soleil murmurs and I nod in agreement.
