"Kinda pissed you didn't call me before taking her up." MinHo grumbles as he ensures EunChae is comfortable in bed.
"I'm sorry—I panicked." Felix sighs, lowering his head.
"You're lucky it was something and not just a stupid sprain—if it wasn't I'd beat your ass." MinHo glances back at him, truthfully not meaning a word of it. He's just trying to see if Felix is paying even the slightest bit of attention to him.
He's honestly grateful he took her to the hospital and didn't wait for him—but he still would've appreciated a text or something just so he knew. Chan was pretty frantic when he called MinHo to see what was going on. MinHo couldn't tell him anything. All he could do is say she was safe with Felix.
"Chan almost beat my ass for not being able to tell him what was going on." MinHo scolds playfully, glancing up at EunChae's dazed face.
"She hasn't said a word since we got to the hospital. I had to answer all their questions. It was rough." Felix sighs. They'd asked a lot of questions he couldn't answer, but she was too stunned or overwhelmed—something—to answer.
"She probably wanted Chan. He wasn't there and she was hurt—so she shut down. He'll be here soon, so it doesn't matter. She'll be alright." MinHo reassures him, confident her silence is somehow linked to Chan.
"He's gonna be mad though. She's in a cast." Felix frowns, disappointed in himself for not being able to catch her fast enough. If he'd just been one step behind where he was—she would've fell on him. He would've taken most of the force of the fall and lightened her impact.
"It's no one's fault. She slipped. You tried to catch her, but couldn't. It's not like you pushed her. He's not gonna be mad. He'll probably thank you for taking care of her when he couldn't. He's not an ass like we liked to believe. He thanked me a million times just for telling him she was doing alright and sending a few pictures after their argument." MinHo turns toward him once EunChae is settled in bed.
"But—he called and I—I didn't get to call him back. I forgot. I called you first and then just completely blanked on everything else." Felix slowly makes his way out of EunChae's room, trailing behind MinHo.
"He's not gonna be mad. He understands people forget things, Felix." MinHo can't help but get a bit annoyed with Felix's constant worrying.
A knock on the door catches HyunJin and SeungMin's attention from the couch. HyunJin hops up to get it before MinHo can even turn in its direction. They all know Chan is coming. It was obvious the moment they knew EunChae was hurt. He wouldn't make her come to him—he was going to come to her even if it meant risking being seen.
HyunJin tugs the door open and steps back to let Chan in. The moment he's in, Chan tugs his mask from his face and stuffs it in his hoodie pocket. His hat follows soon after and he runs his fingers through his hair with a sigh.
"She's in her room." HyunJin blindly points toward the hallway, his attention on the movie he and SeungMin are watching.
"How bad is it?" Chan questions to moment he lays eyes on MinHo.
"Not bad. It's just a hairline fracture. They said it must've happened when she put her hands out to catch herself. She's got a cast, but not one of the big heavy ones. It's more of a glorified splint." MinHo explains without hesitation, falling down on the nearest stool prepared to answer all of Chan's questions he'd known were coming.
"What happened?" Chan continues as MinHo pats the stool in beside him.
Felix shrinks behind MinHo, trying to hide behind him as best as he can. Chan sits down, his eyes glued to MinHo's in search of answers.
