~*Wangji's POV*~
I was with A'Ying just spending some time training as we waited for Baoshan to return. Our special abilities are only best to work on if we were in real life scenarios but the nature and element manipulation, we worked on together. Focusing on my energy, and the energy within the atmosphere around me, I reached out my hand and summoned some water out of the nearby river.
A'Ying summoned some wind and we mixed the two together, creating a small cyclone. We can work with each other and let our energy mix to work together to create a new attack or block. Being able to work together like this was nice. It means we have complete trust with each other and our minds and souls are in sync.
"You two are both doing very well on your new abilities. You even have learned to work together," we heard Baoshan say from behind us.
A'Ying let the wind settle and I set the water back into the river before we turned to her, "we seem to have this connection that we have never had before," A'Ying said.
"That is the power of Soul-Bonds," Baoshan said, "you two can share and exchange energy. Work together and mix the energy to create a new power. It's a rare thing in this world so I want you both to continue to work together and explore your abilities together."
"We will," I said, "how did it go?"
"It went well, we agreed on setting up an intervention for your brother. We were hoping you and A'Ying would be there. This would be the chance to really get Xichen to understand...maybe even see if there is something off about him," Baoshan said.
"We will be there," A'Ying said, "well, I will."
"I will go," I said. I wanted to work things out with Xichen. I don't like that I am always yelling at him but I feel it is the only way he will hear me. This is a new opportunity for us to talk to him.
"Qiren also said he'd like to see you and A'Ying sometime. He is not upset with either of you...he does miss his youngest nephew though," Baoshan said.
I looked at A'Ying, "would you be comfortable on doing to see him?"
"We can, I will be beside you and you will be beside me. We are in this together now," A'Ying said.
"We are," I said and turned to Baoshan, "is he available at the moment?"
"He was when I left," Baoshan said, "you two can go see him."
We nodded and teleported to Cloud Recesses. As I still had my Jade token, I was allowed to enter. A'Ying and I approached Yashi and saw that Shufu was there. He looked like he was in a meditative state as he was trying to let out some stress.
"Shufu?" I asked.
He opened his eyes and looked at me, "Wangji, you are here?" He asked.
I went over and knelt beside him, "You know I never meant to hurt you or Xiongzhang. I love A'Ying and I love you and Xiongzhang. I miss you, and no matter where I am, you will always be my Shufu. You were there when Father was not. You did not have to raise us but you did and I will forever be grateful for you."
"Wangji, I am actually proud of you," he said, "you are standing for the right things. You saw past the lies and the flaws. You kept the teachings and beliefs of our family to heart. You are very much like your father. He would stand for what he believes in, no matter the outcome. When Baoshan told me about Wuxian's history, I was shocked. I apologize for keeping you away from him."
"Thank you, Shufu," I said and looked at A'Ying.
"Hello again Grandmaster Lan," A'Ying greeted.
"Wuxian, I am sorry for your losses and your suffering. Just know that you will get through this and justice will be served. I will help you," Shufu said.
"Thank you, and back then at lectures. I do apologize for my behavior. The resentful energy...everything you said, it was true. I managed to find a way to use it but I became an enemy because of it. I hope you forgive my ignorance," A'Ying said.
"I am the one to apologize. If I was more civil, maybe the outcome would have been different. Though, you still did something that no one else could. You learned to master such an art," Shufu said.
"It was not easy, I kept your teachings at heart and used your methods to help keep my mind focused. Resentment reacts to emotions so your music techniques work," A'Ying said.
"You can continue to learn them if you like, Wangji will guide you I am sure," Shufu said.
"Shufu, I promise to visit more often. I just want to clear A'Ying's name first," I said.
"His name will be cleared," Shufu said, "so what are these new abilities of yours?"
I smiled a bit, "well, every immortal can control the elements and nature. My personal abilities are very rare, according to Baoshan anyway. I have this ability called Lucidity, it is similar to Clairvoyance, as I can tell the truth from a lie. I also have a rare ability called Absolute Life-Force in which I can store an infinite amount of energy, I can even give it to someone I deem worthy of it. This energy can actually bring back life. There are also enhanced senses, speed, and strength."
Shufu looked at me with wide eyes, "you have such incredible abilities. If I were you, I'd be careful with them."
"I am, and A'Ying has his own personal abilities too. The enhanced senses and strength and speed he has as well as elemental manipulation and nature manipulation," I explained.
"What else?" Shufu asked.
"I am considered a medium as I can see spirits and speak to the dead. I can resurrect the dead as I once did but without resentful energy. I also have enhanced intelligence and I can learn things quickly. I can pick out on an attack before it even hits me. I can also lip read," A'Ying explained.
"You two are definitely unique," Shufu said, "thank you for sharing that with me and for stopping by."
"We will see each other again when we speak with Xichen," I said. After a little while of talking and a pot of tea, A'Ying and I went back to our home on the mountain.
