__________A'Ying spent a majority of the morning in the warm spring...I might have been a bit rough with him last night but he was the one who kept asking for more. He has rope burns on his arms and legs so I had an ointment prepared for him for after he gets out of the spring.
When he came inside I had him relax on the bed. I first applied the ointment to his arms and legs and then I had an ointment for him if he was in pain.
"Can you lay on your stomach?" I asked him.
"Why?" He asked.
"So I can apply this for you?" I told him.
"If you want to finger me, just say so," he teased.
I leaned down next to his face and whispered in his ear, "are you trying to tempt me when you are in this state?" I asked him.
"You are the one who made me this way," he argued.
"You begged for more," I told him as I put ointment on my finger. I watched him roll to his stomach and then I pushed my finger into him. He let out a soft moan. I smirked as I saw him grip the blanket on the bed, "This is not for pleasure."
"Could have fooled me," He said and sucked in a deep breath, "you are purposely doing this."
"I am just tending to my husband after a rough night of sex. I am doing my duty as your partner," I said, "Do you wish to remain in pain?" I noticed him hesitating to speak, which I knew full well that he was used to pain, "I do not want you to hide being in pain anymore. No matter what, can you do that? I do not like seeing you suffer."
He sighed, "I understand," he said, "My pain tolerance is fairly high...I never told anyone that after my golden core was gone, I was always in pain. When I was in the mounds with the Wens, Wen Qing checked me over and said due to the beating I received from Wen Chao shortly after the core was removed, my body never properly recovered. Not to mention all the broken bones that I suffered after bring tossed into the mounds."
I finished applying the ointment and cleaned my hand off before sitting down beside him, "As I said, tell me from now on," I told him, "And I was not expected you to tell me about that."
He sighed and got up and dressed, "I thought maybe it was time you should know what ever you wish to know. I no longer wish to hide anything from you. If you want me to tell you when I am in pain, then I will tell you. If I am unwell, I will tell you. If you want to know anything, you can ask and I will answer."
"If you are uncomfortable and wish to not answer, you have that right too," I said.
He turned to me and pointed to my lap, "Can I sit?"
I smiled and pulled him to my lap, "You can always sit here."
He placed a kiss on my jaw before he spoke, "Honestly, I do not think there is anything I can tell you that you might already know."
"Well, when you first started using resentful energy, did it harm you? Was it painful to use?" I asked.
"More like, is was slightly uncomfortable," he said, "Resentful energy was always cold. Without a core, I was constantly cold. There were times were I thought my fingers would freeze off. Also, if I used a small amount of resentment, it was not harmful. If I go back to the Sunshot Campaign, I was unconscious for those few days because I used a large amount of energy. The Yin Hu Fu helped with that, but later I found that when I was back in my tent and alone, I would cough up blood because I used too much energy. Then again, I was still hurting from being overly injured."
"You never let anyone know?" I asked.
He shook his head, "Growing up with the Jiangs, I learned early on that I needed to recover any injuries without any extra aid...Madam Yu did not accept me the moment I arrived to the sect. Sect Leader Jiang Fengmian wanted to adopt me and always said I was his adopted son, but it was never official because of Madam Yu. Later, I found that I was just a shield for Jiang Cheng and Shijie. Shijie, I could understand because she did not want to learn to cultivate, but Jiang Cheng...I had to basically wait on him hand and foot. I would get scolded and sometimes whipped by Madam Yu if I succeeded at something before Jiang Cheng."
"Zidian?" I asked.
He nodded and sighed, "My body somehow became used to that whip. The day Lotus Pier was ambushed, Wang Lingjiao managed to manipulate Madam Yu to punish me with the whip. Saying I stole Wen Chaos sword and humiliated him several times. She wanted compensation. After I received several whips, Wang Lingjiao requested my right hand to be cut off...Madam Yu got angry with her and lashed out at her. I was later blamed for the ambush that happened...Was it really my fault?" He asked looking at me.
"No," I said, "You were the excuse, not the reason. The Wen Sect ambushed the other sects already and it was either for the Yin Iron or because they wanted to send a message. If she blamed you, it was very wrong of her to do that. You are not responsible for the Jiang's actions. You are responsible for yourself, not them."
He nodded and wrapped his arms around me, "I spent so many years just hanging on to the guilt of that ambush. Jiang Cheng blamed me for his parents deaths, and he even has a reason to blame me for Shijie."
"Your Shijie took a sword for you, and that was her choice," I told him, "Jiang Wanyin always wants to point fingers at you even when you are not at fault. He is much like his mother if that is the case."
"Yeah," He said, "Thank you for listening."
"Thank you for talking to me," I told him, "I am always here to listen."
"I am glad I still have one person who will always believe in me and love me," he said.
"Mnn," I said and kissed him. He is my A'Ying. I will always be by his side, no matter what.
