Mattheo Riddle

After the battle of Hogwarts, Headmistress McGonagall requested all students that had been in attendance at the school since Snape had taken over, repeat the last two years of their education.

This letter was sent to all.

Including Mattheo Riddle.

Mattheo Riddle had not previously attended Hogwarts, but he had lost the only family he'd known, so McGonagall decided he could join a new family at Hogwarts.

At first,he declined. But Minerva sent several letters, telling him he deserved a normal life and she would support him in any way she saw fit.

So eventually he accepted. He had nowhere else to go anyways.

So, on the first of September, 1998, Mattheo Riddle stepped off the Hogwarts express with everyone else. The platform was so full of hustle and bustle, no one seemed to notice the son of the man who had destroyed their families, lives and school was in the crowd.

The sorting ceremony was like nothing Mattheo had ever seen before, children being overjoyed at being sorted into new houses, the opportunity of making new friends being opened to each and every one of them.

Soon, it would be his turn to stand up and don the hat. He already knew where he would go, it was written in stone.

The hall fell deadly silent when his name was called,the silence turning uneasy when Slytherin was called out,like Mattheo predicted.

He sat down at the table, avoiding eye contact with everyone. Draco Malfoy, whom Mattheo had met briefly during their time as death eaters, approached him, holding Harry Potter's hand. "Mind if we sit mate?"
Mattheo shrugged,gesturing the the seats opposite him. Malfoy sat down, pulling Harry next to him. Mattheo ripped off some bread, wagging his finger between the two. "That's new."
Harry blushed and looked down, " yeah, after the battle we saw how silly our rivalry was and vowed to be friends, the rest is history." Draco nodded, staring deeply into his boyfriends eyes.

Pansy Parkinson was next to join them, squishing next to Harry, muttering hello before serving herself a roast dinner. Luna Love good danced over, Ginny giggling and following her. "Pansy!! How was your summer!"
"It was great Luna, how about you?"
"This is wierd, I never expected it to be like this." Mattheo watched in awe as Ginny and Luna chatted like old friends with Pansy.
"Yeah mate, we all kinda came together over the summer and we're friends now I guess." Draco explained.
"Some of us friendlier than others Mattheo." Pansy laughed,gesturing to Luna who looked like she and Ginny were on the verge of making out.
" So, how did that come about ?"
"Ginny helped Luna find her shoes in 4th year and the rest is history."

"Weasley! Come on! We're waiting for you and Granger!"
Ron Weasley walked through the hall doors, apologizing for being late to McGonagall.
"Sorry guys, me and Hermione decided to drive here now she's passed her muggle test, do you know they actually drive their cars! It's wicked!"
"Ron, wizards are supposed to drive their cars too,they just charm them!"
"Yeah well it's still cool Mione."
Hermione and Ron began bickering, seeming to Mattheo three seconds away from fighting or three seconds away from kissing. He turned to Draco, "seriously, how did they get together?"
"We destroyed a horcrux together and it made me realise how brave she is and the rest is history." Ron said, tearing his eyes away from a giggling Hermione.

"Is this it or will Hagrid be joining us now?" Mattheo quipped.
" Nah, this is us mate."
"Ron! Y/N's not here! Honestly!"
Ron frowned over his chicken. "Where is she then?"
"She was on the train," Harry said, piling meat onto Draco's plate.
"Who's Y/N?" Mattheo had heard of the famous golden trio and their best friends, Ginny and Luna, he had even heard of Pansy from Draco. He had never heard of Y/N.
"She's Pansy's bestie-boo."
"Damn right she's my bestie, she knows everything about me."
"Who knows everything about you Pans?" Said a voice behind them. With it came a hand reaching over Mattheo to reach an apple. A curtain of hair fell down next to his shoulder, smelling faintly of sweet shampoo.
"You do babes."
"Oh yeah, course,we tell each other everything."
The voice moved, slotting herself down between Pansy and Harry, who both happily moved over to make room.
Mattheo stopped eating, looking at the gorgeous girl across from him. He swore her eyes shone in the candle light, her smile lighting up the room.

"Hello? I don't think we've met? I'm Y/N."
"I'm mattheo."
"Hello Mattheo, welcome to our crazy family."
The pair shook hands.

And the rest is history.
